My name is Chris! I come from the land of snow and losing sports teams, that's right Buffalo,NY. I've been working on game related projects off and on over the last 12-13 years. During that time I have dabbled in: Level Design,3D Modeling, snapping pictures of random things in the real world to turn into textures and anything game related that jumps out at me. I enjoy Tim Hortons Coffee as it fuels me up for long hours of game design/development. Some of my favorite Genre's are: Sci-Fi:Anything space related catches my attention. Suvival Horror: Gotta love Resident Evil series! FPS:Half-life was the first game I ever made a room AKA a box! Strategy:AOE,StarCraft(Who knows how much money blizzard made after my cd-rom shredded 2-3 copies of my SC:BW) MMORPG:Ultima Online was my obsession once(Stupid T.N.L.= Trammel Newbie Looters) I am currently working on my game Crazy GoldRush:Dredging by myself which at times can feel like a lot of work. Don't get me wrong I love it!

So I have been hard at work making a little game called Crazy GoldRush:Dredging.
--Game Summary-- You start off as a meager little dredge searching the sea for gold!!! Collect the most gold to create a gold dredging empire. If you have what it takes to make it to the top.--End Summary--

During my time working on this game I wrote some basic information about development as I went.This being my first attempt at a full game I wanted to document the process as it develops.

So with this post I will bring you up to date with where I am!

Update 1 9:14 PM 3/25/2015
--Added Water Background
-- Added Temporary Dredge Sprite
-Added Alternate Dredge for Dredge1
--Added Gold Counter- Counts the amount of Gold Dredged by player.
--Added Cash Counter- Counts the amount of cash made from selling your Gold.
-- Added Sell Gold Button- Sells for a fixed market price of $1,200 per 1 Gold
Will change in future updates.-- 1 dredge upgrade for $12,000- Dredge upgrade will double the rate of gold dredged.
--Added Gold Scanner- It scans and if you are over a gold hots-pot it will blink green
--Added Pump Sound-Will make the sound of a dredge pump when mining.

Update 2 3:54 PM 3/26/2015
--Added 2 sound effects-Water effect that plays while moving and Dredge sound while mining
--Added 1 NPC- NPC will automatically seek out gold and mine as the player would
--Added Competitor Gold Amount and Cash Amount to the HUD- Displays how much gold and cash the competitor has. NPC competitor will sell his gold every 10 gold acquired
--Added Pirate Trigger-Pirates will attack if you don't sell your gold.

Update 3 1:51 PM 3/27/2015
--Added Beach Sprite-Player will return to beach to:Bank/Fuel/Gold/Hire
--Added Fuel Sprite-Will represent fueling station for now
--Added Bank Sprite-Will represent the bank/gold market
--Fixed gold spawn so it will not spawn on beach-Confined it to the water sprite
--Anchored HUD so it will follow player-Remains on screen even if the player goes beyond the layout
--Expanded layout beyond screen-Allows for more level development
--Created Temporary HUD-Displays things neater and clearer than before
--Added Building 1 Sprite(Fueling station)-Will be used to refill fuel for dredges
***--Fix Fuel Counter hitting 0 and message playing
--Fuel0 Event-If the player runs out of fuel he is stranded:Funny message

Update 4 12:23 PM 3/28/2015
--Updated HUD-Easier to read and neater
--Fixed "Out of fuel" event from not displaying-Disabled flash on event sheet and that fixed it for now
--Added Fuel Zone to Fueling station-Will allow purchase/deny purchase based on resources (Used clip textures to trigger)
--Changed fuel consumption-Will no longer use time as a scale - Will now use speed
--Buy Fuel is now a static location-Removed anchor and placed button on refueling station
--Sell Gold is now in a static location-Removed anchor and placed button on Gold Market
--Added Gold zone to Gold Market-Will allow purchase/deny purchase based on resources (Used clip textures to trigger)
--Increased starting fuel-Player now starts with 20 Fuel instead of 2 fuel
--Added building 2-Will represent Gold Market until another design is done

Update 5 5:20 PM 3/29/2015
--Removed Dredge Upgrade Button-Will be enabled again in future updates
--Decreased the size of the layout
--Modified the Beach Texture to look more dynamic
--Modified the TiledBackground to make it fit better.
--Created new Sprites for Player 1-New Dredge Sprite in Red
--Modified Player 1 Sprite for Competitor Dredge-New Dredge Sprite in Orange

Update 6 1:32 PM 4/3/2015
--Designed Kraken Sprite(Temp)
--Added Kraken Attack/Shake Screen/Fade -Kraken will appear and swallow dredge = game over Might add ability to buy another dredge if player has available cash
--Added Kraken Clip Texture-To detect when the dredge is within Kraken Attack Range
