The hub idea is a really good one - i really like that. could be a way of bolting quite distinct shorter mods into a central structure. hmmm...that's got me thinking!

Will change the video but it's fair to say we've missed the May launch. Looking likely to make another big push forwards in June/July so aiming for the end of summer. Will keep y'all posted.

My fault actually. Going to repackage the entire audio along with art and other bits and pieces for the redevelopment release. In the meantime, check Jessica's website for lots more audio work - particularly the Caspar Helendale requiem for Second Life: www.jessicacurry.co.uk

hiya - the tracks are in the right order, so it's: The Beginning, The Beach, The Cave, Jakobson, Esther, Always, The Code. Ascension is missing right now, but I will sort that out - kind of holding off until Rob's rebuild is ready, then would like to package that up with high quality sound (they're a bit crushed up at the moment) and maybe Ben's concept art.

That's the plan - and we talked with a localisation team last year who offered to help with translations, so it's certainly what we're aiming for.

Yep, looking for a coder right now to take care of the blood (have a plan for what happens when you actually hit one of the things...) Is it the lightning effect in the video in the room with the corpse that you think isn't working? It's hard to balance that with the other places it gets used, so it'd be good to know.

Wow... thanks for that. That's a really amazing compliment... It's not dead, just slow right now. We need more team members to get things finished, so any suggestions for mappers/coder from anyone would be really, really appreciated.

Just trampled through the Pathologic demo and it *is* really interesting - what a crying shame about the shite bits of it. In a weird kind of way, the translation actually makes it feel all the more like a Strugatsky work./ Love those masks too :) Full game download imminent!

The walk speed is an issue that's so heavily interwoven with the actual environment design, to solve it would basically mean a complete re-build. That also goes partially for extra non-linear areas. Both of which are, to an extent, problems that are there. In a perfect world, they'd be time to solve both, but that may be for a different mod... In Korsakovia, you will be up to normal walk speed, with sprint, agents, maybe even a gun, so it'll be a bit closer to home. As for secret areas, yeah, they would be nice, but it's always going to come back to that balance between keeping a well-defined piece and giving the player the opportunity to extend beyond the main pathway. We'll get there eventually.

BTW - Jessica's new website is live - www.jessicacurry.co.uk - and it's got loads more mp3s on it, so if you like the soundtrack to Dear Esther, take a look!

Which version did you download? Can you be really specific as to where you fell out of the map - I thought we'd caught everything but obviously not.

In terms of length: it's a difficult one to call. It is short - but would it sustain for longer? I'd prefer a short, intense experience over one that outstayed its welcome, but if you think you could handle this type of thing for longer...
