Hey I was interested in the sound position you mentioned. I can cover a broad range of music and sound effect needs. I would say though that your comment about not needing voice actors seems strange. It's extremely difficult to create machine voice without some sort of human sample as the basis. Probably the best example would be Legion from Mass Effect 2. He sounds thoroughly mechanical yet has a voice actor.
Yeah since missing the old release date it's like all hope is lost lol. Some reassurance would be nice.
It's been over a year already so I doubt it. :) Go play something else and stop holding your breath. Then when it does come out it will be a nice surprise.
So what on earth was so game-breaking that caused them to delay? Or are you being given updated versions? Just seems strange that there's a clearly playable release but they won't release it without bugfixes (that surely would be easier with a bit more player feedback anyway). I'm not saying this out of desire to play the mod though obviously I do want to. Just seems odd when we're all used to playing one of the buggiest vanilla games ever released.
From Sepember to Never? Can we still expect a 2012 release? :)
It does indeed seem odd that Smrt chose to suddenly go from a relatively subtle mod to pretty much a total overhaul.
To me the zone is summed up by Wild Territory. The way you can sit on a rooftop for hours scared shitless because you know there's a bloodsucker down below but can't find it to shoot with your shotgun, the one which you're down to a couple of slugs with and a borrowed pistol cause your nato gun has broken.
I've been stuck in the permanent state of feeling like I'll always be on this page waiting for release :P.
Try the Builds.
Lost Alpha, Black Mesa, S.M.R.T.E.R., Survarium, Crysis 3, Watch_Dogs, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Beyond Good and Evil 2 (I may be becoming a Ubisoft fanboy lol), Metro Last Light
That was a joke people :(
Hey Smrt, I wonder if you'd noticed the unused pipe-walkways above the pseudogiant in one of the X labs. Ripe for mod content placement methinks. :P
Hey Dez, all that confuses me about bugfixes is Stalker vanilla was buggy as **** on release but we still loved it. XD
I swear this mod's news is never just "Here is the news". Always a load of rumours, contrasting official views, and as ever I don't know if I should be looking here, dezowave.com (is that site dead?) or elsewhere?
Hey folks, just thought I'd share this Battle Theme with my fellow game composers. :) Soundcloud.com Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Google translated to english but still uncomprehensible. :/
I'm really glad the Mosin Nagant will be in the game. I wonder if it will have both scoped and unscoped variants.
Well I hope the hud is fixed to match then, so it doesn't say you have ammo left but can't reload (like in build 1935)
Less than Vanilla SoC. On ****** laptop I get better performance with everything minimum with the mod, and even somehow looks much better.
Ouch, the loner's right foot, unless it's like a slipper! If I was in the zone I'd wear steel toe boots!
Look out he's got a nose! *Shoots stalker*
The inventory that requires constant equipping of ammunition? :( I hate that.
It's that lack of deadlines and potential monetary gain that puts modding such a long way from the unfinnished churnware that seems to fill the gaming industry lately (I hate to admit it, but this happened even to Stalker, and it's the reason Lost Alpha is in development). The key difference is that Smrt actually cares about the quality of the finished product.
I hate to be the guy to derail the comments section, but Survarium's facebook page only needs 28 more likes until a big unveil! Facebook.com
Yes I know it's standalone but Dez definitely said it requires the disk to verify you haven't pirated the game and never said how it would work for Steam owners.
