Thank you for your interest and for asking me about this. I've sent you a PM and would like to continue this conversation in private. :)
There are currently no plans to make a v2 patch. :) That's not to say that it won't ever happen, just not any time soon.
What path did you install the mod to?
Thanks for voicing your opinion. Many people have stated their desire to have it play in the First-Person so I've taken it into consideration and am currently looking at my options. :)
Without getting into specifics, the story will contain similar elements and expand upon them. There will be some Easter Eggs and cameos. Check out the Daemonicon page for more info. :) Indiedb.com
I did plan on creating an expansion dealing with what happened to Donovan, Kevin and the rest of the Helicopter crew after it crashed in the ending but decided to include that on the Remake of Out Of Hell. After plans of the Remake fell through, I decided to create a spiritual successor to it instead called 'Daemonicon' which I'm currently working on right now. Many of the themes will be revisited and Daemonicon will be everything Out Of Hell was meant to be but much, much more. :)
Too hard to determine at the moment with my current schedule. Under optimal circumstances, 2014 sometime.
It will be a commercial game. :)
Thanks Gurra! There was a point in time when Out Of Hell was actually headed down the standalone route. Eventually I decided against that and released Out Of Hell in Mod form as originally intended. The good news is that I'm working on a spiritual successor to Out Of Hell which will be commercialized, so you can look forward to that! :)
Still in need of community help guys! If you can spare it, please donate! :) Indiegogo.com
Thank you man! At the moment there are no plans for a full first-person experience however when picking up and moving objects around, I wish to do that in first-person mode. :)
It's in the post 'One Of Two' on my blog. :)
Sorry for the framerate issues. Out Of Hell is a resource hog and a beast, so being able to run UT2004 on maximum settings isn't an indication that Out Of Hell will run well.
The community has some tips to improve framerate which you can find here:
Also, try fooling around with the fog distance slider (added in OOHPatch V1). That should squeeze out a few extra frames. :)
Drop on by the blog for the Halloween update! :)
Wow, thank you!! I agree with the onscreen dialogue suggestion and will always have onscreen dialogue in my future work. While VO's are great, I personally prefer interpreting the voice my own way through reading the text. :)
I'll be announcing a new project that's slightly 'Out Of Hell' related on Halloween, just wanted to give everyone a heads up! So drop on by the blog soon, hope to see you all there!
The UT2K4 campaign mode save system is similar to what was done in OOH I think. In the SP campaign of UT2k4, you can't save a game in real-time either, only after a level is completed and that's also how it was done in OOH.
I'm actually the same way, I prefer onscreen text dialogue as opposed to voice overs. :)
Working on a new project that I'm positive you'll like. :)
UT2004 mainly being a deathmatch game does not come with a working in-game save system (it actually has remnants of a buggy and broken system, code leftover from the Unreal 1 days but it's unstable at best)
I would have loved to have people be able to save their progress whenever they wanted but the only save system I could implement was an in-between level save system that would save your ammo count, weapons, items and other stats.
Throw that in your Out Of Hell/Save directory :) (Also, make sure you're using the OOH patch)
I totally apologize for that! Save points was the best that I could do for OOH. UT2k4 being a deathmatch game doesn't properly support an in-game save feature unfortunately. There are remnants of the code from the old Unreal game but it's buggy and broken for the most part. :(
(The kennel key is in Renzo's pocket. Search his body after you give him the photograph.)
So far so good. Nothing has been made official yet until I have a lot more content. It's not a remake per se though, more of a spiritual successor. :)
No UT3 port but I am working on a new, similar project. :)
I hope you enjoy it! It takes some time getting used to and there are guides on the main forums if you need! I hope you find it a worthwhile experience. :)
The themes and lore from OOH will be expanded upon but that's all I can go into about it at the moment! :) There are some threads in the forums that explain some of the loose ends. If you have any other questions feel free to ask away!

Nope, doesn't replace anything. Just Drag the Out Of Hell folder into your UT2004 folder! When you want to delete Out Of Hell, just delete the Out Of Hell folder. Your UT2004 will remain untouched!
I recommend updating with the UTMegapack and Out Of Hell Patch v1 before playing though. :)
Thanks so much, it's VERY appreciated!
Use the secondary fire to let off 3 shots sequentially. Wait for them to get relatively close and then let them have it, most zombies should go down after that. If he's still giving you trouble, try to outmaneuver him and run back through the apartment hallways.
Also, make sure you're playing with the Out Of Hell Patch v1 installed, it decreases the difficulty a bit, makes some optimizations to framerate and adds a 'Jostle' function to help loosen you from stuck spots. :)
