Started playing games when I found my dad's Sega Megadrive (or Genesis) when I was four. First ever game: Sonic The Hedgehog. Then we got a PlayStation, then a PS2, then I got into PC gaming but couldn't afford it so I bought an Xbox360... and then I came into some money and got a proper gaming PC. That brings us to today.

How come the shell coming out looks like a tiny 9mm shell? And yet the shell being pushed up into the chamber is a huge .50?

Looks far too blocky and the texture is too dark, too drab and too low-res. I don't care whether that's realistic or not to be honest - in the words of someone so very, very wise:
"**** realism; go for looks!"
It wasn't just in the PS2 version. It was chiefly made for the HD Skin Pack that came with the expansion pack, Blue Shift.
Haha, I love the name. "Ham and Jam!". Wasn't that the code words to say the British 1st Airborne had taken both the bridges intact on the far left (east) flank of the invasion force on D-Day? Pegasus Bridge?
The M4 is more realistic, so I'll use that I think.

Wood looks good, it's a little low-res when you look at it closely (the picture at the bottom, for example) but - as you said - it should look better in the actual mod.

Map looks fantastic. Reminds me so much of Brothers in Arms, though a bit cloudier - and damn right it should remind me of that; this is Market Garden after all!

I loaded up the "mod" and had a look around it with no-clip. Obviously this is like pre-pre-Alpha stage stuff, as it's only a map in which you can do pretty much nothing. Looks nice so far though, apart from the fence texture at the start - I get some massive tearing issues on that.
I put all the files into Garry's Mod to play it there and I can say that doing that gave me a better glimpse into what the mod will be like in the future. I made a SWEP that allowed me to move faster and jump higher, so it was like playing a reeeealy realllly dumbed down Mirror's Edge! Haha!
Please, keep at this mod. It's great and I know the scripting will probably be difficult but I really don't want you to let this mod go dead.
You're an idiot. EA can't do squat about anything, especially copy right. Do you not understand this mod, or for that matter how the law works? How the **** can a company do anything about copy right because all the guy has done is make a map that LOOKS like Mirror's Edge, not even porting in any of its models or textures.
Oh yeah. And he may have used a copyrighted image and music in the menu but, even then, EA can't touch him because this is a FREE mod. You can do whatever the hell you want with something that's free so long as you're not giving away content for free unlawfully.
Holy **** I'm gonna have to buy Kingdoms just for this!

People arn't seeing this as what it is.
I see this as tweaking the scripts, things like that. Naive and ignorant people think you're going to make fully destructible environments.
All I'd like to see is enemies dieying in one or two shots (unless shot in the leg - so you can still do that sniper's bait trick), weapons that don't stop at 80 km/ph for no reason and guard posts that only respawn every 24 hours game hours, rather than the current ten minutes, or whatever ridiculously short time period it is.
If you just did that it'd be so happy. You'd have my download easily. I quite like Far Cry 2, but I would play it 10x as much if it was slightly more realistic.

Cool idea and looks good so far. This is heavy WiP right? Because I would expect far less HL2 props in the final release, though I imagine that's a long way off.
I hope that rifle is WiP too by the way, because it was pretty shockingly bad!

The sights are far too close, but that's not your fault - that's just Battlefield 2 I suppose.

This looks good, I like the amount of stuff on the floor, could make for epic firefights with boxes shattering and cardboard flying all over the show. A bit like F.E.A.R if you get me.
Surely if you use models from CSS you're again limiting the amount of people who can play this mod? I suppose a lot of people DO have CSS, but one of things that's so succesful about mods like Insurgency is that you can have any Source game to play it, not even Half-Life 2 if you don't want it!
