yeah that would work. maybe a system as simple as press e on a dead body if there is a radio on them...and yes make it longer to use cause they are not trained for it. im not sure what the radio does in this game (in regards to all the functions) but if you were to limit commands i think they should be something like enemy spotted or need backup.

great. i would love to see it damaged if someone shot it. i love war movies where the guy tries to call a radio strike only to find his radio man peppered with bullets and subsequently his radio is smoking. it would also be cool, but hard to do, to use a dead guys radio if it wasnt damaged.

kaemos its not an unreal environment. this is a city street on the half life engine. that being said it looks very cool and appropriate to theme and mood. once again i would only suggest, and i know its hard to go and do this with ppl thinking its as easy as saying, a little use of rubbish or maybe some boards that ramp up the gutter or maybe some police barracades. other than that its a nice map

well made. a fair amount of cover as well. i would suggest if making anything like this again to simply cut the bottom of the map off with fog, or maybe a black sand hole to give it more of a storyline as to why its in the sky.

thanks man. yeah pigeon idea could work as well. i wouldnt mind seeing a bird flying and knowing that if you let it get past, you will have artilery raining on you. I definantly know there were telecommunications. it used to have be a landline connection but they had troops transporting the telephone lines. my grandfather was in command of a unit that did that in papua new guinea in ww2 agasint the japs.

this could be better answered by our team researcher gamburd, but essentially did have radio phones, but messeges would also be relayed by runners or pigeon. We may incorperate this into the game as a game mode...i.e you gather artillery notes and have to take it back to hq to launch artilery...but if you die maybe a friend picks it up and keeps running. What do you think?

this is an interesting idea - i have always wanted a game where you have coop mode ships where the crew actually do stuff. This would be good if you could interact with other ships in the universe - fight or trade etc. Do you need team members at all - texture artists? designers?

thanks for the commment mate. I think with all the artistic pieces I made we can come up with something original for the style. Not bad idea tho, using water colors and shaky lines to define a style - something I had just used here for effect and not thought that deeply into it. Interestingly enough, I had thought about making a game completely greyscale like a WW1 photograph...possibly sepia colored (like living in a photo)

for your initial release...i suggest just using the stock antlions. imo just focus on the drop ships, character models and the stock assault rifle with the shotgun addition. Also, try later on adding the rpg nuke or possibly the nades.

thanks man. i appreciate the crits. my work is not very concepty as it doesnt show the modelers what to do, but it does show mappers what feel, mood, atmosphere, and cinematic quality they should or could aim for. My paintings are fun to make and are not very hard. I am thinking about posting a tutorial that demonstrates how to make something like this.
