You could also say that the big triangular sections above and below the thruster array act as extra heat sinks/dissipators since there are more thrusters than the typical ISD.

I hope to post another article in October, things have been very busy lately with college so I haven't gotten to get much done though.
This is caused by the shaders. I included the shaders the models need but for some reason the issue still arises for some people. Perhaps try to put the shaders folder in the main data folder of the game? That might solve the problem.
This turned out fantastic, I wouldn't have imagined it to look like this when yous showed me the artwork for it.

Unfortunately I don't use steam so I don't know how to help you.
Tech level 4 is actually the highest level for the Alliance as it replaces the rebel faction from the original game, which had tech levels 0-4 instead of 1-5. I don't know what to say about them not being buildable, the right files are there and the code is correct. If the xml files were put in the right folder then I have no idea.

Incredible work, this might be my new favorite land unit. This is one of the few mods where land combat is very enjoyable.
Question, will you be redesigning the layout of GC for the next version? I really enjoyed this mod but I found that many, if not most, of the planets in GC were very out of place. With that said, I do think that the way the galaxy was split up into sectors was pretty cool and unique.

The galactic conquest in the currently available version is not fully finished and is to be considered a beta if anything.

Fel's Empire, now the Empire-in-Exile, will be accessible while playing as the GAR. Fel and the GAR are basically combined into one faction. Also, land combat will not be changed in this mod.
Looks like I need to dumb down the AI... or I am just bad at my own game. This was from a skirmish battle against a medium AI, and it didn't even build any asteroid mines.
You can play as the GAR, but can also Control the Empire-in-Exile.. it's a little complicated. You're basically playing as the GAR--Empire-in-Exile alliance.
I remember when that happened in the comics, pretty weird stuff. I don't see adding another faction as something that's feasible at this point, but I might incorporate the Rakghoul plague through a patch after the next version is released (no promises though).

Something to look forward to in the future: I set up a Twitch account about a month ago to do some live broadcast of gameplay and discussion of the mod, with the possibility of using it to do Q&A sessions as well. How many people would actually be interested in this?
