This is so good. I am actually excited for land combat in FoC.
This looks awesome, can't wait to see the rest.
Very nice, I may end up using some. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats on release, if I had free time I would definitely play. Hopefully I will get to enjoy it during my upcoming winter break!
Incredible. I'd say this is your best one yet.
Looking forward to the release. I've been in the same situation and actually did make the mistake of releasing my mod too soon, I can definitely say it pays off to wait to release the completed mod. Glad to see you're not rushing it!
PS: I think I spoke to Steiner about this at one point, but if the team ever would like assistance with particles, you know who to call :)
Every model makes me more excited for your mod
Great work Niko!
Thanks for your support!
I really wish I could but it seems very unlikely right now.
Version 1 + the patch
Awesome, that skin is really well done.
These look so good, nice work work with the rusting effect.
This looks fantastic
Duuuude. I can't wait to play.
Thrawn's Revenge? We are separate teams/entities (there really isn't even a team for Legacy, it's just me with some help from others). We are on good terms though.
You could also say that the big triangular sections above and below the thruster array act as extra heat sinks/dissipators since there are more thrusters than the typical ISD.
Thanks for your support, I am glad you enjoy the mod so much. Also thanks for posting about the bugs and issues, I will try to fix what I haven't yet.
I hope to post another article in October, things have been very busy lately with college so I haven't gotten to get much done though.
This is caused by the shaders. I included the shaders the models need but for some reason the issue still arises for some people. Perhaps try to put the shaders folder in the main data folder of the game? That might solve the problem.
This turned out fantastic, I wouldn't have imagined it to look like this when yous showed me the artwork for it.
G's Lucrehulk is too awesome to be contained by one mod alone.
Those lights and hangar effects though
Unfortunately I don't use steam so I don't know how to help you.
Tech level 4 is actually the highest level for the Alliance as it replaces the rebel faction from the original game, which had tech levels 0-4 instead of 1-5. I don't know what to say about them not being buildable, the right files are there and the code is correct. If the xml files were put in the right folder then I have no idea.
Truly a wonderful recreation
This video was really well done, nice job!
Bravo, bravo! Looks amazing
Fantastic models, all of them. 5th Fleet is the Best Fleet!
Truly stunning, this may be the best iteration of the ISD.
Agreed about the small fire particle.
Also the embers are there the whole time.
Great job on this one
No date is available at this time.
You'll certainly enjoy the new fire particle... ;)
Hmm yes, I see what you, good insight.
Economics and such are, and will be, considerably different in the mod compared to vanilla FoC. The most powerful ships are massive and realistically cost many times more than standard ships, so they cost a great deal more in the mod than other units do. They are a major investment, but won't be unreachable in the mod.
Heroes are coming too, but are secondary to other features at this point.
It will be revealed in the coming weeks.
I haven't made a final decision on this yet, but there is a good chance it will be removed as well.
This is my favorite Hutt vessel so far.
it may be "normal" for moddb unfortunately.. not sure why it does that though
Perhaps if you try copying the files from the 64 bit patch into the xml folder of the mod? I heard someone say they did that and it worked afterward
Do you have any extra files in the game's main data folder? Also where did you put the mod?
No, it's still there.
I actually found it because I was searching on what composers influenced John Williams' style in Star Wars, and Gustav Holst's "The Planets" and "Mars" were specifically mentioned.
Man, that is just incredible. You've really become a great texture artist
This is a fantastic picture G
This is awesome, I was really looking forward to this mod. Glad to see you back!
Y U SO GOOD? Fantastic job with this!
Fantastic, this mod is looking to be really great.
Yeah. As for release date, it's undetermined.
My intial reaction :o
Really nice, what kind of role does the Victory play?
They were developed by the CSA for use by the Lost Tribe of the Sith's Armada. This is basically the modernized, next iteration of the ship.
Ok sure, a few bones more could be helpful, thanks.
The kamikaze ability is a really good idea, I never would have thought of giving self-destruct capability to starfighters but it really makes sense for this since the Sith are kind of crazy haha.
They're going to be considerably expensive and weak, so they can be easily destroyed and need to be defended. The income generated will also be more reasonable as well.
Oh believe me, the starbases have a good garrison now. I don't want to spoil it, but you'll get a bunch of frigates and couple capital ships, multiple corvettes, and about 2 dozen fighter squadrons alone from a level 4 or 5 station.
Well it has stealth ability, so it's so supposed to be dark and hard to see. There are viewports on the sides however.
Looks great, nice job Corey & Farseer
I may use something else for the next video since the quality got lowered for some reason; the video has considerably less quality than the actual mod.
Look at mods like RotM, Thrawn's Revenge, Alliance, etc., they've done more than I said I would and have already been released.
I'm not going to release a half-finished mod because it's stupid to do so, and then everyone would complain about bugs and such.
Maybe a tester still has the files around and can send them to you like you said... I really hope something like that happens, this looked like it would be a great mod, and very original. It's a real shame for your hard work disappear. Best of luck.
>_> I forgot to post the usual backstory in the description, if so desired by people I will do that later tonight.
Another ship will be up either today or tomorrow... it's tied with this one for my favorite. There'll be one more vocab lesson as well ;)
Nice job Far, looks great.
I believe this is the original skin actually, I haven't modified it from how it was when downloaded. Good concept art btw.
In case anyone wanted to know, Iviin'yc is Mando'a for "fast" or "quickly".
I don't recall hearing/reading about that...
The Hess Truck is back and better than ever...
Nice work guys.
Yes, you're still a tester. I'll take this to a PM just to keep this discussion more confidential, there are other things I'd like to discuss concerning the mod and its progress.
XML for coding as well and .Lua for scripting, .dds/.tga for textures and skins
Yes, please do read it everyone. If you want to build the Star Forge, you can try going back a few thousand years with Geroenimo's Old Republic at War mod... it looks pretty good.
Not to sound know-it-all-ish, but those larger TIE Defender/X-Wing/Clawcraft like fighters are actually from the Legacy period of time several thousand years in the future. Some canon-nuts might get annoyed by that, but I don't think it's that big of a deal though.
This mod is looking really nice by the way :D
Okay well it's at this link since it won't upload here:http://www.xfire.com/video/2f3274/
If you are using Windows 7, which form your post on the main page I assume you are, you need to delet the file Graphicdetails.xml. About the mod path, I can't help much 'cause I only have Vista,
What exactly do you mean by it won't work? There are several ways it could not be working properly.
Haven't heard of that problem, don't know what to do about that. Sorry
