Wouldn't a Banshee using its Fuel Rod gun be a better option for a bomber? The Seraph is such an elegant design, build for speed and fast attacks. Much more a fighter in my mind.

Trust me, I used that collision to calculate an estimated size. Its accurate enough for me as it is right now.
I'll be filling all platforms and even then there are some more designs. Nebuchadnezzar and the Osiris are already in this picture. I've researched a lot on the designs of the Matrix hovercrafts and even found some pretty useful renders of the remaining ships so I'll definatly be using that.

Actually the ODP is exactly the right size. What you forget is that a Frigate was docked to it in Halo 2, so what I simply did was make the ODP then scaled it so it was capable of having a Frigate between its Umbilicals. Also the Halcyon and Spirit of Fire's sizes are known so the rest is rather easy to determine.
As for designing them like the Halcyon, I'm designing them in the UNSC style, so they are like the Halcyon and Marathon, which are a lot like each other. So yeah, they do look a like a little, but most ships have big differences.
I'll just be using that as a base, I'll be recreating it and changing it heavily so that it's more like the real Phoenix class colony ship bridge.
And what if they are done by pulse lasers?
A little I suppose. I try to follow the main lines, but some minor things like this ship's class get changed. I doubt that a lot of people will mind if that'll be the biggest change (which it probably will be).
Is it connected in the middle (the black area)? Because otherwise it'd be a really weak design (one good hit to the back and the ship'd be in two.)
I'd change the model a little to make it more UNSC-like and less Sulaco. But that's just me.

The sabres were a top secret special program. Only a couple of them were build near the end of the war. Are we now going to be able to build these unlimited? That'd kinda be a let-down.

An aggressive AI could perhaps prevent blobbing as well. If your opponent uses small but constant hit and run attacks, it'll be a lot more difficult to blob.
Perhaps you should also give the player things he needs to defend (preferably things that are moving). Although it's not that effective of combatting blobbing, it would force a player to split up his forces.

Aaah, yes. However, the style would still be the same. Even the CCS and the Assault Carrier have many things that are the same. This prowler rather breaks the UNSC style I find.
The skin seems somewhat light. Perhaps you should make it a bit darker.

I really hope this is a carrier. It doesn't look Cruiser material. Mostly due to its belly. It's too unstreamlined to be a cruiser.
Not that I know of. I'm sticking with CAG class Carrier though. Whatever they may come with later on.

Indeed, she stated that Destroyers are essentially the same as Frigates except for this additional armor. Essentially being a keyword there, indicating that it's not the same but just has about the same specs.
Those models are only used as a way of presentation. Only the ship model is going to be ingame.

I think you're confusing two mods. Mine, Halo: Fleet Command and CanadaMan's, Halo: Sins of the Prophets.
My mod doesn't have an Orion class ship.
Though everything looks good, I do suggest using a couple of different textures for the landscape. Especially behing the plane so it has more of a path where it crashed. It looks like it dropped dead from the sky now. Everything else looks great though!!!
Hahaha, mods always take a lot of time. Remember that most of this is made in our spare-time. Besides, we have only one programmer at this time and he doesn't check in with us. You're welcome to join us though, to speed up the proces.

I've read all the books yeah, and I do suppose you have a valid point, its just that I think they took a very different direction with the new version. And I know about all the refit-options that were done, its just that I think its a bit too much model-wise. To me, its like putting missile launchers on a WWII-era ship, the main model would still be a little old.
But this is just my opinion :P Judging by all the reactions I've had so far, it seems I stand alone in this.

GDI ships so far have always been rather blocky, I advice against using round shapes for their ships.
The model's texture is more brown/greyish, but due to the lights it looks purple.

A colony is a city, and a colony class ship was carrying materials to set up a colony, so a colony class ship was large enough to carry a city and its people with it. That's a lot. A lot more then a division of marines, vehicles, fighters and pelicans and all. Remember that the Pillar was already carrying quite a lot of personel and material and that ship was only 1.17km long. But we can't know for sure what size a supercarrier is unless Bungie tells us really.
What you see here is the little progress that I've made in texturing :P I'm not good at it, but I try to improve myself. As soon as I have all models done I'll digg a little deeper into texturing and eventually I'll redo all models. This is, however, probably how they're all going to be in the first release.

I don't like it that much. First of because I really hate things made in Sketch-up, but putting that aside, there's no real connection between that ship and known Covenant ships.
Mostly because Homefront makes everything themselfs. And no offence Blamtroid, but it'd change the model anyways if I were you. This looks way too much like the Frigate. Your modelling skils have grown a lot though. I especially like the MAC platform.
It's a little flat for a UNSC ship. But nice to see that your modeling skill have grown so much.
A place for infantry, vehicles and air? Where? I don't see it. Besides, why would a command centre have that? This building sketch just doesn't make sense as it's just a shape and not a functional design. Sorry for saying this but as an architect student these things have always been a critical point for me.
Actually it's only half the size of the Covenant's Flagship from Halo 2.
