I am happy we even got a 5/10 considering this was a prototype. ERIE is basically a verticle slice of what the game could be.

The sad part is, you cannot save. this was built as a prototype. We originally only were expecting people to only play the first 15 minutes. haha

The sounds were built for full surround, however, I am guessing that the audio went a little funky when we packaged the game. I will look into it. Thanks for the update. I am confused why audio settings would crash your game though. Even if the game was built in stereo, a 5.1 surround would still play it with only the two front speakers.

Although we played around with the thought of having someway to defend yourself, we decided that making the player experience what it was like to be prey was the best method in survival horror. It is really hard to introduce weapons and mechanics that allow a player the chance to "fight back" without it a.) sucking a butt or b.) getting out of hand and turning into Dead Space. Although Dead Space was a great game, what separated it from survival horror is the fact that it has weapons, we wanted ERIE to be a survival horror.

We would have loved to have added more characters especially dead ones, however, because of the time constraints the team decided that it was better to get a game done than have extra content and the game suck.

We would love to add cut scenes and other animatic's to the game. Basically what you see in ERIE is a very rough prototype. It was really an experiment in Fear. Basically, we were testing the waters in order to know exactly what scares people. (lighting, monsters, sounds...etc.)

I am happy you liked the game. I am pursuing getting the full version of ERIE completed withing the next year. Stay tuned!

If Sean Connery had made a reaction video, I would have used it. However, it could be worse, it could have been a reaction video by FRED Youtube.com

OK, first lets try playing it in windowed mode. You can switch from full screen to windowed by pressing alt+enter.

Second, what are your graphics cards and are you running a 32 or 64 bit windows?

Thank you for the feedback. We are currently working on developing the Full version of ERIE as we speak. We have noted allot of the issues that people are experiencing and are in the process of resolving them. Right now we are trying to pay for the licenses and fee's in order to get the full game out to everyone. We have a kickstarter campaign going right now to do just that. We are looking for support in order to fix all of these problems and get a flushed out and amazing experience to everyone.

If you are interested you should check out our kickstarter campaign. The more support we get the better the final game will be!

We realize that the notes are impossible to read. We apologize. There are a ton of issues that we are going to fix in the full game if we can wrack up the funding.

Thank you for your feedback. If you notice anything else or should you want to murder the game for any reason, you should let us know why before proceeding to do so.

We are about to launch a kickstarter in the near future to (hopefully) raise some money in order to pay for the licensing of the next game. (Turns out you need money in order to make video games.)

Keep you eyes open for the most awesome kickstarter ever.

We are in the process of developing a kickstarter campaign, hopefully launching by next week. The team would love to turn this prototype into a full experience, however, we are all poor graduate students who need to pay for the licensing on the next title in order to make the next game.

You never have to ask for our permission to review our games. Good or bad, feedback is always amazing to receive. Do you have a link to the video that you could share? We are in the process of finding a list of all the video reviews that we receive to help promote everyone who is promoting us.

Thank you for your comments. We are in the process of launching a kickstarter campaign that will hopefully be up and rolling next week. We appreciate all feedback that we receive from everyone and we are currently compiling a list of a PROS/CONS.

The team realizes that there are a ton of things that need to be addressed as well as a ton of positive responses that we want to bring back in the next game. What you played was a simple prototype that the team put together in a short amount of time. We are planning on resolving all of the issues people have been having with the prototype as well as expanding our game into a full length experience.

The most important thing that any dev team could have is feedback. Not just from testers but from everyone who is interested in playing the game. We are making not game not only for ourselves but for everyone else. If we want to make a terrifying and fantastic game that everyone enjoys, all feedback good/bad is always welcomed.

Thanks for your feedback. Keep on the lookout for our kickstarter campaign coming soon. We are planning to have some awesome rewards.

The game was designed to be a quick prototype. Unfortunately, because the game is so short, we did not build a save function in the game. We do however have check points and auto-progress save point. Whenever you pick up a key/map/turn off a generator, the game auto saves while you are still playing. The bad part, if you quit the game, the checkpoints are erased sadly. This is one of the big issues that we plan to fix in the full game we are currently planning. Also, there is no way to save the lady. She is pretty screwed. Plus who wants a lady you have to look after. Does anyone remember Natalia from 007 goldeneye? Miserable to look after and save.

Haha I'm happy you escaped. The ending was meant to be more but our animator ended up getting hired at turbine in Boston when we were in the process of finishing the ending. I'm happy you liked the rest of the game though.

We are in talks about finishing a completely new experience. The team and I believe that games shouldn't break a persons bank account nor should the price for a game deter a player playing the game. If we do charge, it will be as cheap as possible.

Haha, yes we understand the animation is a bit funny. We are working on fixing all of the kinks with the game. This was basically a really pretty prototype. A verticle slice of the full game we want to make. We are in discussion to build a complete experience soon.

haha the cats were suppose to be a Easter Egg that I put in the levels. When we first did play testing, the people that found that cats loved the idea so much that I decided to hide a few more in the game. Honestly, it wasn't suppose to make sense.
