That is the single most beautiful fleet formation I have ever seen <3
Dat Raptorous Aft!
I have no words which can do this justice, bravo.
Fair winds and following seas, Captain Archer.
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its mission; to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before.
At least, that should be her mission. This ship, the first to bare her legendary name in 80 years, was designed to explore the universe. But the weight of recent events has seen her take a different path. For a purpose that is not her destiny.
This war in which we are embroiled was not our choice and with her help it will not last forever. This ship, like her namesake, will usher in a new era for ourselves and our posterity. One in which we look to the heavens with the same wonder in our hearts as those that came before us.
We will continue that noble enterprise which they started and we will bring them with us in our hearts and in our memories to see all there is to see. Where no man has gone before."
- Captain Robert April, dedication speech for USS Enterprise
Thank you kindly ^_^
Ship's Log: USS Constitution: Admiral William Jefferies commanding;
Nothing tests a ship quite like combat. Maneuvering, reaction time, speed, shield and hull endurance, weapons capability, the lot. We had our biggest test today against the D-7. I'm happy to say that we passed with flying colors.
The IKS Hor'Cha had been terrorizing the sector for weeks hitting every convoy and station flying Federation colors and everything we sent after it came either limping back or in pieces, if at all. With the Manzar Colony in such danger, I decided to take the Constitution for a 'practical shakedown,' as it were. The ship was more than ready for the challenge.
The new engines made quite the impression on everyone and I think even the Klingons were taken aback by the shields. That's twice we've been able to get ahead of Klingon technology in three years. Hopefully, we've given them something to think about. Though I know that's wishful thinking.
We'll patrol the sector for a while longer then rendezvous with the fleet at Yiridia. We're expecting the Klingons to make a major push there. We've got the speed to react quickly enough if we're wrong. I just don't relish the idea of being the only ship in the sector when the time comes.
Interesting. I did some checking. Is she based off a FASA design of the same name? She also seems to share the profile of the Swarm class out of ST: Legacy.
Thank you kindly :)
Commander's Star Log:
The Empire has suffered enough humiliation at the hands of the humans and their abominable "allies." This temporary peace has been forged of necessity and tempered by the blood of my kin. Blood that now fills the senses. Blood that would call predators to our borders, to our homes. We must strike first.
It is time we face an old enemy. One so brutish and predictable as to be a sure example to the rest that we are to be feared. The upstarts would be no match for the Klingons, but we know them of old. They will be that example and the Elements have just granted us the perfect opportunity.
We have caught a Klingon vessel in the Lambda Hydrae system. They did not expect us and we caught them with their shields down in our first pass. My Centurion tells me to be cautious, but caution will not keep the predators at bay. Only Fire can do that. The fire that will warm us, as it burns them.
Indeed, although I find myself kinda wanting to do this one. I've a soft spot for the Romulans. Didn't want to before because I've an even softer spot for the Federation.
General Order 1 prevents anyone from getting a piece of the action.
They've opted for the main series design over the "Cage" varient due to it being the most iconic version.
And so it begins...
Finally found the bloody ship. For the record calling it the augment BoP was what was throwing me off. That implied it was human augment Mailk's ship instead of klingon augment Laneth's ship.
Nope, different ship.
Link is being troublesome, but it's there.
I'd like to know as well. Looks like a cross between the good ol' Bird of Prey and the Raptor.
3 is my favorite and 2 comes close, but not the best for marines. They're more officer fair. 3 would be great for a marine officer though.
1, 4, and 7 are pretty good candidates, but 7 would have to lose that front piece as it's too emblematic of modern marines and not a good fit into Tolkien.
6 is a no with that chainmaile. It would weigh a soldier down too much were any amphibious work come up.
5 might be the best for marines. Very much in keeping with Gondor's aesthetic but adapted to keep sea spray from dipping onto the soldier's face.
So, 5 is best for basic marines and 3 would be awesome for a marine officer.
Keep 'em coming Mr. Wilkinson
That! Is a nice angle.
That's beautiful! The story and the screenshot.
But Dem Impulse engines be grand!
Yeah, I can see that. The Sheppard falls nicely in line with the NX to Akira lineage for me. There's just a few parts of the original Cardenas design that irk me. The nacelle struts are part of it. They look too thin in forward profile compared to the width, but there's really no way around that. I think what gets me most is the bridge placement. It's too far forward from what I'm used to in a standard saucer. I'm sure I'll get used to it though.
In other news; I like what you've done with the design, but I would have preferred the Shepard-class to the Cardenas.
Ares Aft, Kobayashi Aft, but Cardenas shows off her phasers before she'll show you DAT AFT
