The mod was ok, the story kept me playing but for some reason I can't get the chemical pot to fill after adding all 4 of the chemicals to the burner and turning them on. I've tried loading a previous save game as well as restarting the whole game with no luck at all the problem keeps happening.

4/10 for this broken mod.

The levels were designed pretty well, the puzzles however were not. You seem to have a huge loving for stupid stacking puzzles that waste time and make the mod seem "longer".

What really annoyed me were the jump scares... They're literally the cheapest and most overused (even the movie industry has a huge raging boner over them) and pathetic way to try and instill fear, and frankly at best all they do is startle the player. Do you have any idea what made Amnesia such a great game? It built an amazingly creepy atmosphere without making the player jump. On top of that there's a stupid amount of tinder boxes and hardly any oil containers.

My opinion would be too skip this mod and try one of the following better mods:

Story seemed great... until I got stuck trying to get the gates open to the Reliquary. I've tried restarting from earlier maps at least 5 times and I've followed 3 different let's plays to the exact action and the gates refuse to open.

Shame really was enjoying the story lots.

Better luck next time I guess.

Earlier this year I downloaded a bunch of Amnesia Custom stories which I intended to play but due to other things demanding my time I never got around to playing them.

Today I decided I'd give a random mod a try and the one I picked was "My Love". I played for about 5 minutes and felt somewhat confused, I was slowly crawling around expecting monsters to jump out at me. After 5 minutes of that not happening I decided to look up the mod and see what mistakes I was making.

I found the modDB page, read a few paragraphs and instantly realized what was wrong, I was expecting this to be a horror mod, not a story telling experience. Armed with this knowledge I decided to restart the mod and play again... all I can say is wow.

The graphics are decent, with the odd level design bug here and there, but I've always been able to overlook such bugs in the wake of a great and brilliant story.

The story was pretty deep and had me feeling like I was ready to burst out crying at a random moment. The storyline is familiar to me somehow. But the ending took a total twist to how I remember it being.

Bottom line for this review: This is not a horror mod, it has a great story but you need to open your mind and use your imagination like you would whilst reading a book. The game doesn't use NPC's but rather a collection of memories portayed through audio. It's up to you to imagine how the characters look in your mind.

Decent storyline but it was far too short. I'd love to see the concept of it expanded upon.
