So I recently got MW2 on sale on Steam, but the reflexes of the veteran community tend to be WAAAAY 2 MLG 4 me about 75% of the time. So this sounds fun to try, even if it will be nothing like playing against humans.
If I want this mod should I get a refund for the steam version and find a cheap copy on Ebay instead? : )

The aesthetic of a couple of those weapons in the pictures is somewhere in between the bulging-veined arms of an alien warrior and the overly-busy mechanics of a Michael Bay transformer, but I imagine they look cool in-game, and in any event experimenting with diversity of style is certainly welcome.

Yeah all these models are quite pretty and consistent in nature, nice!

Cool, I'll probably be playing some ballistic weapons this week or the next, so I'll enjoy switching these voices into play for a few characters, adding a subtle spice of newness to the experience :D
I like that you have a second robotic voice from Saints row the Third, and I also like that it's a surprise who it is ^_^ , now that I've played that series and formed a soft spot for the characters.
And YAY for more variety to the monstrous character voices, since there are so many custom models for UT2004 that just cry out for more unique audio to accompany them.
Though I think I will find some place for your CoD 2 voices too, since that could turn UT ballistic weapons into an interesting soup of nostalgia!

Sorry I was lazy about this - and still am - since I've been off in Battlefield 3 and Ghosts lately (well, in many more games than just those ^^). People who are still playing with UT2K4 audio can feel free to add info to this section, or to contact me if the mod page won't let them add resources here.

Yeah I can sooooo picture this being applied in different settings for different audiences. It's always great when smalltime creations of the internet made out of enthusiasm and supported by a community of peers rise to change the face of culture, it certainly affirms the power and freedom of creativity we have these days :-)

From my perspective as a n00b to this kind of functioning I will voice a question which comes up for me: does smar•cade allow people to have multiple windows open adjacent to each other, such as - ehem, in my case - playing some Little Fighter 4, reading its moves list beside it, watching a youtube collection of vines in an upper corner, perusing my files in a lower corner, and occasionally clicking over to the science writing I need to do.
Whether humans should change our habits of how we engage with media isn't part of this particular question, just wondering if the program supports such habits...

Just listened to it on youtube and gotta admit it's quite catchy. Would still be quite fun while battling on the ground, but since UT2004 has a couple frequent aircraft (and more when using mods) I think it would therefore be more than appropriate.

When I saw the picture I thought this allowed combining the sides from dune 2000, Tiberium series, and Red Alert into a mashup in the style of the C&C reloaded mod (Yuri's revenge) and whichever one added Spartans XD

Love me some mash-ups... always like a little taste of Super Smash Bros. for real-time strategy games.

I like the personality that comes across, though I tend to like my characters more confident across the board ^_^ . But since she seems formidable and yet definitely not like a Mary-Sue style character, I think most players who come across this will really like it for that reason. Plus her lines are both versatile yet seemingly appropriate whenever she says them, with a varied sense of personality (instead of "I'm a badass"... "Yeah, still a badass"... "I'm the very same flavor of badass you heard five minutes ago" XD )

LOL still dead in the water... Oh well, maybe some month when I'm playing a lot of UT2k4 again, unless someone else goes "YAY, WHAT AN IDEA, I SHALL BUILD THIS RIGHT AWAY WITH THE PASSION OF A CHARGING NARWHAL!"

Indeed, I think I'll be using that a whole lot more, depending on how it looks from my perspective while I'm holding it of course.

Cool, I definitely couldn't bring to mind any other voice pack for UT2004 with a French accent, let alone one with good production quality and a slick tactical feel. Though I'm just judging by what the source file sounded like, I haven't actually tried this in-game yet.

I feel the same way, it's hard to describe, I guess it just feels versatile and well-balanced to me. I would definitely prefer if they don't overwrite that one.

I love the GIGN and the SAS, Scottish accent FTW! I guess UT2004 didn't have many vp's with French or Scottish accents that I can think of.

Totally, though it will probably be a few days until I'm playing much UT2004 again. I've been busy with a lot of work lately... and playing Warriors Orochi 3 ^_^ ... I'm a little absorbed in that game. It's nice to see new content popping up on the Vault!

Ah, excellent, I know my own collection had been rather light on robot voices, and I was getting tired of some of the responses. This will be a fun choice to go with some particularly imposing character models, like Golgotha Gamefront.com

Sweet, this will make for fun times :D The amount of content in this looks quite impressive! When the team behind Sgt. Kelly's next ballistic weapons update finishes their fresh batch of weapons, this kind of added lulz will be an ideal ingredient for that bouillabaisse of destruction and snarky color-commentary ^_^

I'm finishing a George Takei pack and the DoW2 Inquisitor, then maybe some of my own voice acting along with pecking away at Adam Jensen and Liam Neeson a bit. Nips is also working on some good stuff, though maybe I shan't steal her thunder in announcing them :-)

Halo marines would entail some picking of random campaign audio from youtube to get a good selection, so I was hoping someone more passionate would leap on the idea ( here's some material Nikon.bungie.org )

Wow, I just happened by from one of the 40k mod, this looks really, really cool! Though for me, seeing defensive guns making short work of attacking forces kindles a degree of passion approaching that of Michael Bay's love of the U.S. military, so I'm probably abnormally excited by this picture ^_^ . But yeah, I totally want to start placing tons of these around in skirmish, kinda reminds me of the little Gretchens that the Orks have on everything.
