Please for the love of god fix that track! it is WAY to small!!! You know how easy it would be to throw it? And by throw I mean while moving or even driving the track just shoots off...

It needs to be wider too... Look at modern vehicles with track.

Sorry if I seemed harsh, but as one who actally works on tracked vehicles, I would know. I am a TANKER!!!!!!!!! ;p

You people are so worried about having certain things taken out of the games other people make. These are the people who made the game, and therefore have the final word in how it will come out.

They're time and energy, and money went into it, and as always, if you spend money, you want to get some return out of it. IW is a business, and the ultimate goal is to make money, while putting out a decent product.

At the same time, you would realize that most games these days play the same, and have the same goals. Therefore you are just buying many different things which at there core are the same.

So, please stop complaining about why this isnt good, and thats not good. I mean please... If it meant that much, you would play it on PS3 or Xbox 360.

This is like Youtube here. People always have something negative to say. Quite childish in my opinion. :p And yes, it will be a good game. I cannot wait to play it. Yet another thing to take my mind off of work. The Army is killing me.... :p

Unwieldy and hideous.

Its a good concept, but completely unethical. For one, it will be slow, look at the hand gaurds... they are huge. Those spikes are too big. and the blade length to handle siz ratio is out of proportion. It either has a really short blade, or the user has MASSIVE hands.

Good, good. But a handle on a rifle like that...? Unethical. If you are just trying to add detail, put a picatinny rail system on all sides of the handgaurds. (where the holes are) This will allow you to add many different featres, and make your rifle way more versatile. You could make it bullpp style, but thats alot of effort... Or you could make it fire a round so big, you have to twist the pistol grip sideways, and pull it back to insert the round through there.

There is a russian rifle like that. 17mm round I think... Add maybe another cylinder so it can be gas-operated instead of recoil. This increases your accuracy and speed at reloading.

You will prolly put a bipod on there too, right? Thats always good for details. the stock of the weapon to the reciever is also a bit to straight. Give it just a little bit more height, and angle so it looks like it has all the normal room for the bolt, the spring, and all that goodness.

Now, I know it sounds like im just ranting, but im not. Just trying to give ideas, ya know. Plus I am in love with rifles. I go fire my M4 tomorow. It has an acog on it. :p And I am going to sniper school soon too. Yeah, im in the army. I love guns. I also have the biggest gun... 120 mm smoothbore! Abrams rules all...

The beret has a curved edge where leather is folded, or a lip if you will, at the opening where it goes on the head. I'm positive. I wear one. A black beret though, for the US Army... :p I earned it.

Lol, alright. But as ca be seen, it messes with the mesh's of the model, which leaves it with a glitchy appearance. It's usually a good idea to reduce polygons after a model is finished, bt not too much as it can effect the in game appearance, and the skinning of the moel, which makes life harder...

Also, the end of the barrel shouldn't have those grooves. Skinning is a hard job, and that will take alot of deddicaation...

Don't waste time putting the holes in the tubes either. In an RTS game... it is a waste... You will rarely see the detail like that. RA3 doesn't even do it yet. :p

Not bad. Why so wide though? And with the side cannons, it looks cool, but it is almost impossible to do that with a tank. Think inner mechanism of the gun... Recoil... The breach would slam back through the outer wall and BAM! Done son!

But, then again... Nobody else has had a design like this one... :p So, kudos!

Another comment regarding your M1A3... It most likely won't be renamed... The M1A2, M1A2 SEP, etc... The new one is called... I can't remember. :p

BTW, the weapons I will carry in garrison and Afghanistan ar the M9 9mm Beretta, M16, and M249. YAY! Saw gunner...

You guys are slaving over this, and of that I am proud. I noticed the Abrams in particular. VERY WELL DONE! Only thing I couldn't tell for sure was the .50 cal in front of the TC Hatch... Which .50 is it? Which mount? Because on the M1A2 you modeled... The M1A2 is manually fired by the TC, unlike the M1A2.

The M1A2 is currently being upgraded in the Army to be fitted with another .50 cal mounted coax along with the coax M240L MG.

Total armament will be 2x 240L MG's, 2x .50 M2 HB Flex MG's, 120mm cannon, and the crew weapons, which vary from MP5's, M4's, M249's, M240's, Mossberg 12 gauge, and the 9mm Beretta...

Sorry for the rant there. Just figured I would bestow some of my personal information on you. I DO crew a tank... At For Carson, CO...

Just some advice... A tank needs room for 4 people if it is manually loaded, and 3 if it has an autoloader...

Scale your tanks up by 1.5 or 2x for realism... :P

If you are having troubles with walkers and mechs.... talk to Helge. I believe on moddb he goes by.... IDK... Sgt Rho maybe. One of the two. Look around. He has quite a successful CnC3 mod with some nice walkers.

He will definitely help a bit. :p Just tell him Carnage sent ya. :p

The fact that the barrels are off to the side means that the recoil of the barrels is not going to happen. Thus it would put the aiming of the barrels off, and you would have a bad day...

The barrels need to be in front of the turret. On the inside, the breach( where you put the ammo into the tube) Needs space to slam back for recoil.

Just telling you how I see it. I do drive an Abrams after all. :P

Its easier than you think. Get p at 5:00 am and go to formation. Work out between 6:30 and 7:30 am monday through friday. After we workout(PT) we get an hour and a half to shower, change and eat. We go to work from 9:00 am until 11: 30 am. At 11: 30 we get an hour and a half for lunch. From 1:00 pm until around 5: 00 pm we work some more.

Aside from that, its simple training like shooting the guns, cleaning them... Maintainence on tanks, and some other random things thrown in there.

January ill be in the field for a month doing gunnery with my tank. 31 days long. For my company alone we will probably fire upwards of 1200 shells. Roughly 800 sabot, and 600 heat rounds.

We will also fire more then 24,000 rounds of 7.62 and 5.56 ammo.

Add roughly 8000 .50 cal rounds, and a handful of 9 mm rounds...

Sounds like a blast right? it is. I'll take some pictures when i get that far though. :D

Its probably closer to 1280 poly. Those cylinders themselves are quite a few poly. Figure it like this, the more round something is, the higher it's poly count is. That barrel is right around 180 poly.

All in all, it's still a great tank. Good use on the polies to. I'm still getting back into the game, and I'll post some stuff here for you all soon.

I have taught several people how to model. Ruby and Sgt Myers are two of my best. :D I have also taught a few people how to code these into various games. I have had a few mods myself, which failed due to my busy life. :d

Im currently working on making a high powered rifle. 3D that is.

It will be an all vehicle killer, firing an 18 mm depleted uranium round at just over 3700 fps. On impact it releases a small jet of molten copper for a little more bang. Like a SABOT on steroids. It has a 5 round magazine, and a maximum range of 2850 meters.

I got the rough draft done. I have to include a few small details, like the inner mechanisms, like a star chamber... the bolt, and an ejection port. Being gas operated, there is almost no need for a bolt.

It will have a second mode. One which you can remove the upper reciever and use the lower barrel instead, which will fire 12 gauge slugs. This will take roughly 2 minutes to do.

I also thought of having the scope on the side, being as you would want to rest your cheek and jaw on the butt-stock when it fires...

Any other ideas for me? I need to gather a bit more practice before I can actually make it back to modding somewhat...
