This is freaking beautiful.
So, this group has been sorta dead, lately. We should host an event or something! I was thinking that we could hold a themed mapping contest or a multiplayer tournament. Any ideas?
I'd happily partake in any mapping/scripting for this, and I'm certain that there are several other mappers following Tiberium Essence who would gladly join in on such a thing as well, if Carnius does indeed go through with this.
So I noticed the multiplayer broadcast icons at the top-right part of the screen. I feel sorry for whatever poor soul you're playing against!
Hey thanks. That's pretty much what went down in this battle. If I remember correctly, the map was T.E.'s "Under Cover" with a few lighting tweaks.
Excellent map. I love the stuff you have done for the mutants. I like how the marauder squads have different types of soldiers in one group.
Excellent model and effects. I look forward to using this unit in the future!
I think that playing the Tiberium Essence mod only requires C&C 3: Tiberium Wars. Also, make sure that your game is updated to 1.9 before installing Tiberium Essence. You can do this by bringing up C&C's "Control Center", and clicking "Check for Updates"(you should be able to find the Control Center by hitting the windows key and looking for the "Electronic Arts" folder in the programs list.)
Also, about what others are saying in regards to Kane's Wrath, I personally, think that Kane's Wrath is pretty decent for the Xbox 360(for a console RTS if nothing else), but as far as PC goes, you might be best off just sticking to Tiberium Wars(although less overall game assets, it has more of a modding community and online multiplayer seems to be a bit better). Also, if I'm correct, the PC version of Kane's Wrath is much more expensive(was for me at least), and requires C&C 3 to install, so you'll be spending a lot more money if you go with the computer version.
I hope that my response was of some help to you.
Excellent map. I love the play style and the various elements that were put into the level.
lol yeah, I like to keep the arms short to prevent the "corner" units from being effectively singled out by any opposition. This way, There'll almost always be at least two units in the formation capable of covering each other.
It's... so beautiful!
Ah, I exploited that sooo much! ...I kinda miss doing that.
"Tell me, does the AI still do this on all maps or just resource heavy ones? Some users may be interested in this if it's the first."
The AI will act similar to this on pretty much any map you set it on, reguardless of available resouces. On Medium Difficutly as GDI, It will almost always attempt to construct a legion of heavy tanks(and mechs), infantry(such as Jump Jet and Zone Troopers) and aircraft(partuicularly Orca Bombers), and until it's completely ready to attack, it will be on the HEAVY defensive, to the point to where you won't be able to put a dent in it's base with 50 upgraded Avatars.
My intent was to make the AI act more, Human-like, using strategies similar to those of players that I've played with online. Easy is the noob, Med. is the spammer, Hard is the competant strategist, and Brutal is the hacker, with the traits of all others except for easy.
It's actually based off of a bundle of scripts that can be installed via Worldbuilder, so then you can have specific maps with insanely difficult AIs, and still have your regular, easy going games on other maps.
I consider myself to be a decent adversary on C&C, but it's all I can do now to just last 30 minutes. Also, what you see here is only the Medium AI...
I kinda like the colour. It might have a good contrast with the rest of the force. Nice job on making such an awesome looking jeep!
I know that they are upgrade pads, but when I first saw them, the thought of ABM Silos came to mind... I've been playing a lot of SC2. The overall design of this structure is quite satisfying!
These look awesome! The best I have seen so far. BUt yeah, I agree with the first post.
"Boom, headshot!" It may look terrifying and all, but a GDI sniper would more than likely blast it's head off before it could do anything! I would recommend a helmet. Just sayin. :)
Awesome design! Just a thought though, I think that it would be wise to add some kind of a hatch to the thing, ya know? To make it a bit less vulnerable to bombs, grenades, dust storms, flying/falling debris, people who like to jump down into dark holes, ect ect...
Amazing idea! I very much look forward to the main release of this mod.
Awesome! I always wanted to see this particular stealth jet in action. How about calling it the Phantom?
"Banshees, fast and low!" - some random marine from halo
Dude, the Banshees look awesome!
Whoa... Awesome FX!
Hey uh, one question: how will this vehicle take turns? The front wheels don't look very capable of changing directions... It is an interesting idea for a buggy though.
Awesomeness... The regular TW Venom is so ugly I rarely use it! But now, it looks amazing!
Aww dude, this sounds awesome! When will the Alpha Beta be posted? I have no idea on how to model or use the MOD SDK, but if you want help, I can do a decent variety of level-scripting. But as far as the actual map-making goes, I'm not too good when it comes to the texturing and watery stuff.
