Put the .big file with the rest of the game's .big files (Homeworld2\Data I think) and add the following in the 'target' box of the shortcut:

-w 1920 -h 1080 -mod ComplexEnhanced8.6.big -nomovies -hardwarecursor -forceLAN

(obviously, change to desired resolution and change version number as required)

Never mind, I see you can just use the installer and everything works! Great!

I have an installation question. Does that stuff about merging the two parts still apply if I downloaded the version with the flashlight quickfix etc? Cos I can't find any "textures" folder in the zipped folder...

This one is the best, in my opinion. It is like Complex with some of the fat trimmed off. It has lots of new ships and is a satisfying tactical challenge.

Thanks, this worked. Something really weird is happening now though. I went into the MPS HQ right at the beginning, and then went out the front door again thinking that was the way out. Now when I try to go back in, I just get returned to the helipad like I'm playing Antichamber! The patch didn't fix it.

Yes, I noticed this too. My Hiigaran ally became useless as soon as destroyers entered the picture

I'm running w7 x64 and I get a System Error which says "The program can't start because MSVCP110.dll is missing from you computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Reinstalling didn't help. Any ideas?

I have a problem with Freeplay.
I got back to Limansk after the end of the game but I can't find a way to get back past the building site. I've tried using the Wish Granter but when I try to input co-ordinates the existing values disappear when I click on them but I can't put new ones in. Also I have to keep Esc pressed in the Wish Granter or I get returned to the game.
Any ideas?

EDIT: I found a way around the building site

I'm having a great time getting stuck into this challenging mod (CPU usually kicks my *** though). One thing I'd consider changing though is the way production queues get cancelled if you reach the crew limit. I found this confusing. Wouldn't it make more sense to simply pause the queues?

Apologies if I just haven't looked around hard enough, but could you describe the basic premise of this mod? Is it (as its name suggests) a simplified version of the Complex mod?

ah, tried installing this (I just extracted the .rar into the CS directory and overwrote all the existing files when it asked) but now the game doesn't start! Steam starts, Task Manager shows the process xrEngine.exe *32 is running but no application. Any ideas?
