I'll try to make a tutorial video of sorts, that covers as much about the gameplay aspects and mechanics that is in this mod. But it will take a long while as I'm currently busy with some matters...

In the meantime, please, I really encourage checking the included "README" and "EnemyGuides" text files, as all the information, from installation to the gameplay stuff, are covered there.

Just tested this on the most recent build of Quake3e. Yeah, for some reason, those render weapon models in player view even lower than in vanilla. It's why when firing the lightning gun, it "disappears" from view.

Make sure "zzczhdwr2.pk3" is also extracted into baseq3, as those contains the modified weapon "hand"(position and animation).

Beyond that, if the issue persists(like, the weapon doesn't render at all), only things I could think of are pack file conflicts(because, "zzczhdwr2.pk3" SHOULD modify the weapons' original/vanilla positioning), conflict in used config(especially those commands that pertains to modifying weapon position in view like cg_gunx;y;z, cg_fovAspectAdjust, etc.).

I won't make promises. As of now, I'm working on some other mod and model stuff. And, as with what happened with QuakeII(and QuakeI few years before), I'm honestly just waiting if the same treatment is going to happen in QuakeIII next year.

-general texture cleanup(removed decals and reworked shading)
-texture size and format optimization(dropped overall file size from 32mb to 14mb)
-minor mesh tweak on PG
-reworked shader effect on LG & PG

-three-dimensional muzzle flash, now done on all weapons

Absolutely did not like the BFG design on Quake 3. So instead, I went and recreated a BFG design that I did like; the one from that bad 2005 movie.

Still working on the blade's shading. In regards to the direction here. It wat very straightforward. Made the design a bit more ergonomic, if less deadly-looking.

Did some finalizing tweaks on most weapons done.

As for current progress: Except the BFG and the gauntlet, most of the weapons are pretty much finished. Also remade the muzzle flashes for each to be more solid 3D, and also created reworked weapon position and basic firing animations as an optional PAK file.

Will continue and finish up the two remaining weapons next year, now I have to make time for other things these following weeks. In the meantime, here, what I made so far now available for download: Moddb.com

Big fan of Q3 plasmagun's general design and silhouette, but wasn't a fan of the dirty, stamped-metal details. Inspired by DOOM games. Remade the weapon with a more sci-fi, polymer encased design.

For anyone who caught where I'm going with the overall design; Yeah, I'm a BIG fan of Quake II's RG, it's my most favorite railgun design across the whole Quake series. So now, Quake 3 RG looks more beefy.

Now don't get too excited. My aim is to recreate the models, making it look good for higher res monitors, while still making it 100% compatible with vanilla Q3A engine; meaning, i still have to contend with VQ3A's polycount and texture size limitations.

If you meant the 'XPCheats' cvar. You have to add at least one bot opponent(not a teammate) before invoking the command.
