hi there great mod been using it a while , now i reinstalled it and did titans go to a seperate space? meaning i dont see them when i wana build ships. i am not the high lvl but i see everything up till battleships and in the past i seen all titans included , are they built in a different way now?

I really enjoy your mods not just this one i am a "customer" sort of speaking before armada 3 had the cardassians/domminion introduced. I was always blown away by the dedication of you guys , not knowing anything about modding other then it is hard because of the limitations of the engine (lets not forget how old the engine is) and a lot of times thankless job because of peoples expectations etc. What i can do is to spread the word to any of my friends who are even vaguely into either rts games or star trek. I was super happy when you first introduced this period of star trek lore back with the axanaar project and was happy to see the mod didnt die with the original movie project.
Hating on star trek discovery well you guys did the ultimate humiliation in my eyes , took some of there ships and turned them into true trek ships.
Hope to see your work continue , with sins 2 on the far horrizon we have a lot to look forward.
What i noticed which is something new is that no matter what setting what map i play after a certain period i crash to desktop, if i load back the last autosave i will crash at roughly at the same time , any idea what might cause this? is there a crash log i can paste in?

Yes it is silly but knowing what happens in advance you can save few of them , just have your fleet , which should have at least 1 hatak and the ships built as an objective , and just move them in front and focus on ships shooting the transports , your not there to kill the enemy ships if a ship start retreating because its on low hp leave it just focus on transports, it took me a few tries but you can do it.

Really glad this mod got updated , loved the Tauri campaign , found a problem which is recurring every time i get there , at the mission where Anubis attacks earth and you have the big scripted battle , when the drones apear and i guess you win , it crashes to desktop, any idea why?

Nice , i kinda see it as a game play thing the Xindi being so advanced , but the sphere is if i am not mistaken a sort of siege ship so its not an instant "i win" button. I like it.
What i really liked in Armada 3 is the number of capitals were largely different from 1 faction to the other , we could see something like here as well i mean a coalition capital ship and a Romulan or even Klingon ship cannot be the same level neither in price or capability lets not even compare them to a Xindi aquatic dread

Well i guess you all know about the Sins 2 anouncment , the Dawn of the reapers mods is on hold because the modder is working in sins 2 , which is great news for him but bad one for us , cannot wait to play these mods on the new game

Just a quick and maybe stupid question , what is the capture ship for the cardassians ? Probably its obvious but i cannot for the life of me find it.
Nevermind, found it i just assumed its a frigate as its suposed to be early.

Finally i had enough time to play a game with both sides.
I knew when i was getting into them that it will be good , had no idea how good but thats kinda how you guys work.
With this mod you doubled down on your last mod. It is everything you guys stand for , and we are honored to enjoy your mod.
The level of detail is insane. This is an early access kind of release , well if all games would come out as polished as this , the gaming indusrty wouldnt be facing a huge crisis.
Lets start with the intro , most of the time i watch it once and then skip it without a second thought. Here all the time i feel its a shame to skip it , i still do most of the time but you understand where i am going with this.
The game it self well i started as the feds. Since we had feds and klingons in the early mods i expected to feel similar only with less ships.
I was sooo wrong and i am glad. The small things , sounds like ships coming out of warp , most of us wouldnt even think of these because most of the time we play from a scale you dont hear those, but you did.
And the research is nailed just right , the feds starting out week but getting stronger and stronger , compared to klingons starting strong and yes growing with research but you can feel it its different.
I enjoy the stellaris mod for star trek mainly because it lets me play with these early era ships , but there u eventually evolve and loose them.
I am so glad for the time period here , i just love these ships.
Again returning to small details , the klingon titan yard and how you have the other 2 ships berthed there , again great little eye candy
And using those sound tracks excellent.
Reducing the fleet size was the best idea , i would go even further lets say drop non cap and cap ship resources and just have 1 point for 1 ship and have like 25-30 max , going back to that bit in axanar when Garth says 18 ships destroyed he talks about it like the end of the world
, maybe an idea for a minimod one day.
We are encouraged to give our opinion , well i really had to look for stuff i would like to see changed .
- Going into this i knew you wont have icons for ships and while i feel its a good idea to have them , here because of the reduced fleet sizes its not a big issue.
And having a variety of simbols not just cruiser frigate and cap ship helps. So i would say yes would be nice to have them but i understand you dont like them , here they arent that lacking like in the other mod.
- What i have noticed is pirate ships and some neutrals have a tendency to just move away from you and go off into nothing and while they dont harm your building they still are in that grav well and if i understood correctly they negate most of the income of that planet. If it can be changed so that they dont do that would be nice.
- The map design , i mean the planets how they look on the zoomed out map , for me and this is a personal taste thing, i feel having actual planets show up would be nicer.
- About the AI , i feel like the easier settings are basically inactive and the one above "unfair" i cannot remember the exact name well that one just steam rolls you, some tuning might be needed
- I might be mistaken here but fighters (shuttlecraft) should prio other fighters because in most cases i kill the carrier ship fast but its fighters take out 1 or even 2 ships after and my fighters dont go for them.

So as i said this game (and yes i called it a game not a mod, unless we get you guys into some legal problems i will call it a game from now on) is a real remedy for all of us who felt burned by STD. It shows how much some people love star trek and what can be done . I know almoast nothing about modding , specially on this level. I know the game engine limits a lot of things because its old but you guys seem to know it like your own.

I personally spread the word about you guys where ever i can. A lot of people i know gave up on rts games because most died off or went down in quality . I am happy to say a few have picked up Sins and are enjoying it.

If i had any modding talent i would offer my help , i am a hobby level 3d modeler fooling around in google sketchup , and as i said know nothing of the coding part of it. All i can do is spread the word.

Is it just me or one of the discoveries icon is a geonosian droid factory? :)
Every day i check this mod for new screenshots , as with a lot of us i really like this period.
One question , from the streams i saw way larger fleets then i guessed will be in game .
the idea to reduce drasticly the size of fleets is gone or changed? Where the loss of even one frigate is felt? i really loved that tactical fell to this mod and the old axanar mod as well.
I know you get presured for a demo so i wont add to that keep up the great work and happy xmass and new years to you all!

i realy like what you done with the planet system for the alliance , its really mass effect like , and the map designs as well
some questions :
how do you build the starbase with the alliance
how do you colonize planets with the reapers
will update if i bump into anything

Hi there just a thought , if it has been discussed just ignore me.
Been playing the other star wars mod sins of a galactic empire and one feature stands out, to balance the titans you can build certain number of each , because yes home one is easier to obtain and its cheaper but after a stage resources arent that big of an issue , would this be something you would consider for interregnum?

Hi there regarding the new patch , i see the nebulons have the x wings now but for the life of me cant find the research that gives them torps
does the tooltip mention this on the research and which one is it ?
Oh and wich smaller map sector has kessel in it? besides the large one with 131 stars?

Yes the captains logs specially when they were from oposing sides was great , i understand writing these takes up time for you guys time you can spend on the acual mod or dare i say RL :) but we kind of miss them :)

I am religiously following this mod ever since its first itteration with Axanar , i think i am not alone in this :)
I know its a long way off to be able to play it but each screenshot helps
What i miss the most and again i think i am not alone in this are the cool lore bit you included in the past , it was a realy nice touch , each screenshot had its own story you could immerse your self in

As an overall idea yes x-wings should outclass most imperial strike craft , my concern is Thrawns pet project the defender which if i am not mistken should outperform everything , x-wings included
It is avaible only for the remnant faction and its a prety late tier research but it should be the top dog
Thats just my oppinion anyways, as always great work

No misleading m8 , i think most ppl are aware how huge a mod like this is and making it takes a lot of time , time u spend besides your real life so dont worry, these scrrens help a lot , its a constant for me as i said i check moddb daily for a new screenshot a new lore bit i can feast on
and yes this feels like we are part of it , specially those who started writing lore themselfs , i really enjoy when u read the opposite sides story of the same event
this IS star trek not the crap Nothing But Crap feeds us

Like everyone else i am loving the progress reports we all know makeing a mod like this is HUGE work , work which is done in ppls free time , but having these small updates a screenshot here a devblog there makes us forget a bit that its a long time to wait.
For me personally its a bit of sad news although i kinda expected the hated icon system to be in this version s well , other then that i like a lot of ppl here check moddb more then once each day just for the sins icons and then hope its this mod

i totally agree , when the clip from axanar came out yes that clip is starship porn , about the icons well u can snipe dangerous cruisers or cap ships lets say a romulan fleet is attacking they have the secret shadow cap ship the name escapes me but has really nasty abbilities , well u want that to die asap instead, but in a way i think that should be it , i mean this is star trek detailed sensor information is available for both sides , its like when u are playing homeworld , kharan is fleet comm , she sees everything

Finally got to play the new version , wanted to see the galaxy far far away event , i guess its totally random so have to w8

Couple of thoughts which i dont know if it falls under the icon replacer it self of the game in general

I understand u guys like the multiplayer icons but even then i think u need the see those icons at least in the grav well when u are not zoomed all the way in , helps u see the big picture. Even zoomed out all the way when u see all the planets , your planets yours had your logo above then by default now only if u hover over them

I dont know if this is intentional or not but its confusing as all hell when u have to rely on your ships auto attack to see where random grey ships are, its not that of a problem for enemy ai ships because they have the faction logo above them
but neutral guard ships have nothing in most cases

Imho they are detrimental to your overall grip on a situation and this goes for multiplayer as well , i get it that against other ppl having specific ship icons can be exploited but these small things lets just say they are creature comfort style things Yes u can hover over a planet to see owner yes u can click on a ship icon in the overlay to locate it but why? it is a complex game and u need to see these things as fast as possible
Also the small round bars around blanets one indicating ships the other structures , they are gone also

Would like to hear your thoughts on these thanks again for all your hard efforts

sadly it seems no and they wont be making one either anymore , personally i am sad because without it its just no fun to play against AI so ill stick to the old version
