Also, the kids and I had a lot of fun playing save the princess with around 13 of us. It was great watching them bound around the map and falling off the towers, haha. Now they are really inspired to make their own levels where we can race to the end, can't wait to play them!! Take care.

Heya the coop edit has gone well for the most part. I had I think over 13 kids at one point which was a bit chaotic but once I threatened to turn off their comps if they messed with people's stuff things went a lot smoother. It was really cool to see the things they made. Today we had a smaller group, around 8 or so while other people made other coop lans and worked together. They really have a blast using Sandbox, I have to force them to take breaks!! And we're talking about a 7 hour day here! They also told me they don't want to leave. All great stuff. I'll be sure to update soon, for now I need to rest, phew, hehe. Take care!

Heya Brad, thanks for the message!! Any PR help you want to offer would be huge!! It certainly isn't a product that is easy to market since some people think it is ONLY for kids, and also because it isn't exactly a game persay. Thanks for all of the feedback and yeah I'd love to get it into more schools. Not quite sure the best way to do that though. I don't really like this poll because it makes it into a competition when I really support what KF does and we have a very similar mindset. I think mods should be more about helping each other than competition anyway, that's why I host KF on my site even though for any of you who don't know I am the project lead for LMS. Just my two cents. And again, everyone play Sandbox, its free and open source :D

LMS 3.5 was the only version that did not have mac support. 4.0 will have mac support. If/when a standalone happens it would be mac supported though we might need someone to compile the binary for us or else people would have to do it on their own.

4.0 is the last version of the Doom 3 Mod from us. It might receive future "unofficial" releases as I'm prepared to let another team take over the project if they want. Also we still have more content to release including a map pack. There is actually a lot more we could do with LMS in a standalone version. With SB we have full access to the source, it has better netcode, much easier to design levels, etc.

Why don't you try loading up the game before you accuse anybody of anything? Your comments are extremely off base and inappropriate. In addition to our splash screen saying that Sandbox is based off the Cube 2 engine it is mentioned in our menu, readme, license, etc. Many of the cube 2 community works with us, including the main coder. He hangs out in our developer chatroom daily. So before you make such a drastic accusation again I ask that you please get your facts straight and not try to debase other people's work just because you are having a bad day or whatever the illogical reason was. Thanks.

It's not as easy you might think to find someone to actually be willing to put in the work. I currently have two people that MIGHT help but who knows. I'm also really interested in finding out if there is a way to run xcode on linux or windows to compile a mac binary. Any idea? Or know anyone I could talk to? Take care.

You have to compile it using Xcode and then run the binary. Sorry that we couldn't provide a binary but none of us have Macs. Xcode should be on your mac Cdroms. I hope this helps. Take care.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! To BHenderson, we transfered EVERYTHING over. It should really be as much of a justice to your mod as can be. We certainly worked our hindquarters off to make sure we got all of your stuff working. I think the only thing we couldn't get in for some reason was the Cdoom player model. Did that ever get used in Cdoom? I think there was some problem with the head or something. Take care.

Since the game is geared for kids too I removed the ability to connect to the master server. This is for their safety online. If I can think of a way to keep things safe for the kids (mainly so they can't get on it) but have a master server I'll try to work it in. Maybe I can work needing some kind of account or something, hmm. Suggestions are welcome. Also with your friends, just tell them about it then :D Take care.

To play coop in the command prompt (type ` to enter it) then enter /connect ip where ip is the ip of the person you are trying to connect to. If this doesn't work let me know. Take care.
