For all dealing with corrupted exe or difficult to open archives, I compressed it using Winrar 3.71 so it might be a version thing?

EXCELLENT CATCH! That song was specifically picked because it appeared in Indiana Jones. I think Last Crusade is a lot better than people give it credit for. I personally enjoy it as much as Raiders.

Check gameinfo.txt. If you don't have Ep2 installed you might need to change the AppId. I hear that "218" is working for people that don't have the Orange Box. Haven't tried it myself though...

A Dogfights fan! Sweet. It does my heart good to know people still remember that series. I loved working on it, very disappointed when it ended -- but then, had it not ended I probably wouldn't have done Dino D-Day.

Try changing the AppID in gameinfo.txt. Try "218" that seems to be working for a lot of folks.

Thanks iQue, very good notes. Gun sounds WERE DoD so you got us there. We spent almost no time working on sound design on this but the commercial release will of course have a professional sound design pass. I agree with the level design criticism too...I'll be going into that some more in a bigger post.

Check out DuckSauce's post on the download page. He seemed to get it working without Ep2 mounted (which should work in theory though I've never tested it myself). As I posted earlier, is the game giving you an error message?

Yeah, there's a basic problem with Dinosaurs in the Source engine that I couldn't quite overcome. Still working on a solution to dealing with NPCs with big heads and tails.

Nope, HL2 Episode 2 works best. But you should be able to make it work with Portal...and another poster seemed to indicate he got it working with just HL2. Not sure about that though...

The final version of the game will definitely have dialogue, cinematics, etc. In fact, I'm hoping that will be one of the strong suits...my background is in filmmaking after all! We didn't spend anytime on that in the mod because the technical aspects of game design were much more important for us to sort out given our (and really my) total ignorance at the beginning of the process. Our primary goal with this was a functional game with some loose sense of story.

Thanks for the comments...and I agree! GUTS mode was one of the first things I coded so it's not done particularly well -- it's sort of half-implemented in the mod. It's kind of a slippery gameplay element that we don't have a handle on quite yet -- thus I left it unfinished. I probably should have disabled it as you suggested. Oh well...thanks for the feedback!

I wish there were co-op too! But there ain't...we'll see how far my coding skills progress as we continue work on the game. Needless to say, co-op Nazi dinosaur killing would be the bee's knees...
