I am a huge fan of ghost movies and I've always wanted to make a game where you can play as a ghost. I thought that would be cool to be an invisible spirit being which can lift stuff and throw it at people. Imagine, you can fly through the walls and scare the hell out of people!
Few years ago, after playing L4D in versus game mode, I thought that would be awesome to make a multiplayer game where players are be able to play as the humans, or the evil spirits. After two years of working on game concept, collecting references and gathering ideas it's about time to finally make this game!
What is this game about?
Three female students are visiting haunted places as part of a school project, and document it on film. Part of the investigation, is to find out if the rumors about evil spirits are indeed true. When entering the haunted place, they will quickly find out that the school project turns into a matter of life and death.
In "The Damn3d", players are able to play as the female students, or as evil spirits. The girls' objective is to get through the haunted place alive, work together as a team to hold off the ghosts, unravel the puzzles and challenges at hand. The ghosts have to prevent the girls from doing as much as possible. Hurting them, haunting them, breaking their collaboration and preventing them from progressing. Scare, or be scared?

What engine will be used for this game?
"The Damn3d" will be based on Source engine, because it has all content and core features needed for the creation of gameplay prototype.

PARANOIA TEAM is a small group of mod developers with a Half-Life background. Our first project is PARANOIA, a mod based on Half-Life engine.
