I hope the HUD is optional (but provide a way to check to magezine capacity without it).

"maybe it's the loading screen"

This is actually an interesting idea. Maybe not a loading screen as the noise would really really grind after a while, but it could be part of the intro titles or something?

I imagine this mod should make night a bit less scary thanks to moonlight reflecting off the snow. Greater visibility = higher chance of survival

How would fast travel "ruin" the game if it was an optional feature? Ive never understood why people complain about optional features in single player games.

Yeh ive taken a look at the wiki (which is how i found out about the AI having infinite funds). It was very helpful.

Is there any particular reason the AI was given infinite funds? It just seems like a way to make the game extremely unbalanced in their favour to me.

Its wierd, I have not trouble with the regular ZH AI and it behaves in a very similar way. I just have trouble dealing with an initial tank rush from the soviets. I build MG emplacements and put LAW troops in, but the tanks have greater range than the LAW troops. If the LAW troops are out of cover, they get mowed down by the tanks. Its a Catch 22

Must be really hard trying to code behaviour for some animals that have been extinct 65M years (or longer), especially when there are so many different views for how certain ones may have behaved (eg T-Rex: scavanger or hunter).

Looking farward to this, love the JP series. Are you going to release a public beta or are we going to have to wait for a full release?

I like the idea of being able to tailor make my defenses as required. In theory, with these modular platforms, I can make a pltform that can effectively defend against capital ships and fighters at the same time.

Maybe I'm being picky but shouldnt the Halcyon Class Cruisers be quite rare? In the books (which ARE canon) it's mentioned that theyre being phased out. In fact the only one featured in any canon story is the PoA which is refitted for a spec ops mission anyways...

Im looking forward to being the Ringbearer. I'm gonna stick with the Fellowship if possible to save the whole business of trying to sneak into Mordor with Sam and a traitourous little maggot. Or if I do go off on my own, I'll try and bear witness to some of the epic battles from a distance. Visit Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith without the rest of the Fellowship ever knowing I was there.

Not sure about the positioning. I was under the impression that most underbarrel attachments use the magezine as a form of grip, so with how this shotgun is positioned (too far away from the grip) it would be very awkward to use

Also, will this be available for the SCAR or are the restrictions the same as C2?

BurningSky93 Apr 30 2011, 6:32pm replied:

Tbh I think Crysis has enough weapons already. Adding in too much new stuff would just introduce redundant weapons. Ill be honest and say that I wasnt a huge fan of the Barrett in this mod purely from the point of redundancy (the precision rifle OHKs pretty much everything already AND it can fit a silencer). Not to mention anything new needs to fit into the universe. I have trouble seeing LMGs fitting into Crysis's style of play as well. LMGs are traditionally squad based support weapons and you fight solo for the majority of the game, and then you need to stay mobile to survive.
