No More Room in Hell

Mod review

This kicks ***. Glad I was convinced to download and play it! Needs some work in some areas, but I have confidence that the team will improve in those areas. Love the difficulty of the game, makes surviving a challenge! Sort of brought me back to the good old days of Zombie Panic!

Star Wars Battlefront

Game review

Star Wars Battlefront 1 is a game to remember and cherish throughout the ages. This game, in my opinion, is the best battlefront and one of the best Star Wars games made to date.

There is no end to the battles you can have. Play as the Empire, Rebels, CIS or Republic, and chose from a variety of units, each with their pros, cons and special attributes. Gun play is fantastic, and you actually have the option to switch to a proper first person view! Also, because this game came out before episode 3, clone troopers are in their phase 1 armor, which makes them even cooler in my opinion.

The SP "storyline" is short, with no specialties, but is a blast to play. The multiplayer component is my favorite by far, and packs a fantastic punch that rely does not compare to anything I have seen to date. Although these days the multiplayer has dwindled down to the last few, it is still fun and competitive!

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Game review

fantastic game. Rely enjoyed this.

Puts a whole new POV on Star Wars. Nice to be able to play as a clone instead of some jedi hotshot, though I think the single palyer campaign could have been longer, it was damn good. Who knew Star Wars could be so bloody and violent lol. I rely did feel like I was a clone commando on dangerous missions, and the AI is FAN ******* TASTIC! Some of the smartest AI I have ever had the pleasure to play with in a game, it sometimes felt like I was playing with 3 other humans, they were that good.

However, of course Lucasfarts (er Lucasarts) left us in the dust again with a cliff hangar and no sequel, the same thing that has happened to Jedi Knight series, Rouge Squadron series, Empire at War series and the Battlefront series. This was Dying to have a sequel made for it, and they blew it. Such a shame, shame on Lucas Arts.

Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

Game review

Forces of Corruption adds a new perspective on Empire at War. Instead of playing using the massive Empire, or the heroic Rebels, you instead control a massive crime syndicate known as the Zann Consortium.

The game looks good, the engine is pretty when maxed out, and the RTS gameplay is my fav by far. The storyline is alright, though it is full of plot holes and I would have liked to see a deeper level of storyline. Not a fan of this "Tyber" character, he does not fit with Star Wars at all.

I have found multiple glitches while playing the SP campaign. Sometimes, when the holographic Tyber pops up, he says his little speech, but then decides not to go away, and stays there on the screen without any sound, doing the same animation, then doubling back and repeating the animation again. This is a major flaw, and a shame the devs could not fix this proper.

The multiplayer is fun, however very high ping and sync errors happen frequently. Games can last for a long time (which I like), and there are plenty of well made maps to choose from, not to mention a map editor which you download separately.

The best thing about FoC is the mods and custom content. Its amazing, Its everywhere, and there are plenty of mods and custom maps still being made, even though the game is 4 years old and the engine is of "last gen". Some of the mods are even better than the game itself, and the mods alone are worth buying the game for.

All in all, I like FoC, I think it could have been better (the vanilla version that is), but the amazing amount of mods and custom content and sites like ModDB and EAWFiles make downloading custom stuff quick, easy and fun.

Overall: 7.5/10 (il round that to 8).
