Not a big fan of rule of thirds, but I will check it out, thanks! ;) My job is film operator for nearly 10 years, so I have my own composition principles worked out.

Hi! I almost beat the game with no problem, and decided to get some unfinished missions done, one of them was to find X18 documents and bring them back to Petrenko. So I returned to X18 again, found all five documents, but since Petrenko has now replaced barman in great metal factory, it is not possible to return these documents to him and now they are forever stuck in my inventory.

Other thing that I wanted to mention is that it would be very useful to have sprinting ability upgrade for exoskeleton, like it was in Oblivion lost mod (I think). And since the maps are huge, maybe fast-travel would be nice too. Of course cars are useful for traveling, but they are very buggy (some cars cause my game to crash repeatedly). Nevertheless I use cars all the time, because it is great to have a portable stash place that can be placed anywhere on the map. And going on foot through maps like Forest, Darkscape or Countryside would be nightmare.

Last thing that I want to say: Lost Alpha still is the best stalker experience, and it has almost everything I ever wanted in previous stalker games :)

Finally made to pripyat, and didn't experience any problems at all until now. Anyone knows where I can find the duty guy who can fix and upgrade gear? I went back to bar rostok, there are some duty guys down there. When I try to speak with their leader, the game suddenly crashes. Also I just found a repair kit, but when I try to use that game also crashes

I think you should turn off car's engine while leaving it, or it will drain the fuel by itself. I may not be right though

Thanks for the tip, but I found out that if I leave that safe empty (I used to store some of my stuff in there), then there are no crashes in that map anymore.

I had no problems until I get to the part where I need to get documents from bandit's safe. For some reason bandits all show up as enemy, but that's fine, I am still able to retrieve the documents by killing their leader. After that point I can't load my save game file, tried restarting level and still no luck, the game crashes.

So far so good, there are no significant problems for me, except frame rate drops terribly when I turn "sun shadow" setting on. PC specs are fine, and it should handle it. Game just looks too dark without this setting, but It's not bad either.

Yesterday I was taking a ride with train to another city through huge Industrial district, and tried to memorize all the details, buildings e.t.c. because I am working on a huge level for UT 3, I try to recreate our Country's abandoned industrial landscapes and hell yeah, this is exactly how it looks like, what I've been trying to create :)

I think that gameplay and the increased amount of detail will compensate all the lack of graphics :) I also prefer FDL, and I was a bit disappointed too, but I changed my mind since I saw all these screenshots which are also DX8 renders. They all look great, I couldn't tell the difference if these were DX8, or DX9 renders. Maybe that's because I am not a hardcore gamer ;D

By the way I am not sure if this was asked before, but what about vision distance in stancia level? I really disliked how in original Shadow of Chernobyl stancia level did look with its default foggy weather settings. A few months later i played Oblivion Lost mod and everything looked perfect in stancia - 100% clear weather, I could see every building at far distance. This screenshot looks better than original SoC, but I think there should be visible more details in the background. I'm just curious about weather settings in this level

By the way I wanted to ask you a question. Will this game support large resolution monitors, for exaple 1920x1200, 16:10 ? Because I have monitor like this and it has problems with lot of old games. I have no problems with Shadow of Chernobyl, so I think theres shouldn't be problem with this too, right?

I really love one thing about this - the color. Every part of the day has it's own color temperature. This is one thing from many that makes this game so atmospheric
