Don't forget to vote for this mod in the Mod of the Year contest. (Green button - up ^) If you already voted in round 1, you'll have to vote again!
Last year it was #6, let's get into the top 5 this year!
Median XL is once again in the top 100. Time for a EF5 SCALE MEDIA STORM when phase 2 hits. :)
A surprise may be coming...
What happens when you follow the instructions in the readme?
Yes, I will. I don't have a deadline but I need an update this year to participate in the 2010 Mod of the Year contest again. :)
Why would it be a slow start? Who said items had the same price and gold piles were even the same size. Sigh.
It's faster than regular LoD all the way.
The poster above you thinks picking up gold is heresy and wonders why he has no gold. That's a slow start if you WANT it to be slow.
The solution is in the documentation inside the mod download.
It's called actually picking up GOLD instead.
I don't know why so many people persist in selling only items instead of just picking up the damn gold instead. More gold per stack than before. Items sell for less. This means you can stop repetitively ferrying loads of items to town and you can just pick up gold and KEEP fighting! One potion is like 2-3 gold stacks in Act 1 and less than 1% of a gold stack later!
But no... 'everyone knows' you shouldn't pick up gold in Diablo 2. Sigh.
By the way, throwing weapon prices are even screwed up in regular LoD because it doesn't correctly multiply by stack size.
This is of course on the site.
Let me get this right - your resists are rock bottom and elemental damage kills you, so ...necros are too squishy? :)
'Also, is it worthwhile to sacrifice kickass enchantments to get more resists?'
Of course not. Just die instead. Corpse recovery is so worthwhile.
(Did you know D2 makes defense 0 when you run? Walk)
'I didn't touch the stone thing in the start so I guess that it's only 1 player'
Read the pearl that was in your inventory when you started the game.
- Are you still on /players 1?
- 90-150 damage over how many seconds? :P
This is helpful feedback.
No, their base damage (based on skill level).
Of course when you increase minion damage by 10% it means your minions do 10% more damage. :)
I think there are no remaining issues that are both serious and actually possible to fix in this engine.
This means the game is as good as it can possibly get... :D
Next stop: Starcraft 2.
Every character in every RPG ever has only two kinds of skills: the best (use these) and everything else (useless).
'i was the nerco and when i summon king loric he just turns on me...and i did not even die... he kills me...'
'will play this mod when bugs are fixed...'
Okay, you officially fail because you didn't read ò_ó the description of Summon Veil King where it says when the king is killed, he will turn on you.
Ps. Of course minions are too strong in early normal difficulty. Minions scale linearly. Melee attacks etc scale much faster than linear. If minions were on par with weapon attacks in the early game, they would be completely useless in the late game.
Ignore. (Delete your log files if they grow too big) This is because Blizzard somehow corrupted the Fire/Ice Elementals animation; it works, but causes those errors to appear.
I doubt you used all 210+124 of them yet. I think you just picked the best skills, beat the game and now you're staring at the other skills and waiting for a new best build. Because building a non-perfect character is impossible.
They all do that...
The spirits tell me you didn't read the /players x pearl of wisdom either.
Open the zip file. Read README.rtf.
You clicked on an ad instead of letting the file download. LOL.
No, but you are giving me absolutely no information about what you did. Clearly you did not download 'the latest version of Median XL' because it's not called 'cannon rock'.
I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Cannon rock?
www.battle.net has a tech support section for TCP/IP with Diablo 2.
