Guess I might as well write something here. I'm a nice guy from Germany, I like PC Games, Star Wars (particularly Mandalorians), Warhammer 40k & Warhammer Fantasy as well as tabletop in general. Also other Sci-Fi and Fantasy stuff. And Metal. I'm also interested in the medieval period, owning different pieces of armor and doing some show-swordfighting. I play guitar, occasionnally draw things and build costumes such as my mandalorian armor.

To do:
- replace cheap-*** mail shirt with better, properly riveted mail
- get a fitting mail aventail for helmet
- cut down the excess leather straps on arms
- do strapping on leg armor
- belt
- get a demi-gauntlet for the right hand as well (?)
- try to fit my steel pauldrons (?)
- get a surcoat (?)

Sorry for the late answer, been having connection problems.

This one I just bought used from a friend for 50€ or so.
But there are actually plenty of shops for LARP and reenactment where you can get all kinds of armor. A good mail shirt will cost you at least 250€, propably more.

It depends what you want to use it for, but I highly recommend completely riveted mail. It`s more expensive, but a lot more durable and unriveted mail is not historically accurate at all. The reason I want to replace the cheap (unriveted) mail shirt is because it's literally falling apart and losing rings everywhere.

You could also buy loose rings and knit your own mail shirt. It saves you a lot of money, but takes some time.

The best shop for mail I know is this, but it's all german: Armamentum.de
This one is decent for everything medieval as well: Battlemerchant.com
