I like the larger UI. The artwork on the buttons comes across better than in Armada 3. It is much more immersive.

Thank you for the update and all the hard work.
I love the new UIs: subtle and immersive at the same time. And the map overview in the map selection screen is a great addition. I'm really looking forward to the mod. :)

Looks amazing! I love ENT.
Could it be that you guys are doing two different Federation factions? One in the Earth Romulan War and one in the Four Years War? Just guessing from your recent pictures. I'm so looking forward to the new update!

Same with my PC. NVIDIA Geforce 650M and i7 2.4GHz. Intensity of stuttering seems to differ from faction to faction however. Dominion Alliance lags more than Klingon.

In the Research tree the infocard for the Dominion Alliance unlocks the Son'a ships... but I didn't figure out how to build them or call them in. Maybe it is AI only. But I wouldn't mind some Jalak-Su Battlecruisers in my Dominion Alliance fleet.

Thank you for the quick reply, Fellrunner. :)
The lag is late-game. When there are larger fleets, so it's not that misterious.
My computer has 8GB RAM and an i7 processor with 2,40 GHz. Anti-Aliasing is already switched off. I'll try around a bit more with the settings and change the options you proposed. :)

I got a lag problem as well and I've run the LAA.
It doesn't always lag but in larger engagements I get this problem... Already tried to lower the graphics settings but it had no effect. STA3 didn't lag.
Is it because of the larger amount of content?

Happy new year, guys. And thanks for making the past one that exciting. CTA is amazing! :)

Cool greetings from Breen Prime.

Voting for the mod is the least the communitiy can do to thank the dev team for STA3/CTA.
You deserve to be on 1st place. But 2nd place -right behind a mod whose dev team is rumored to cheat- is equal to that.
And the thankfullness of us for you and your work is certain.

After Monday something in the life of us -the mod's followers- will be missing.
I mean the daily/hourly checks of the STA3 page on moddb. I'm pretty sure I'll be missing it... looking if there's a new screenshot, dev diary, article and so on...

I voted for STA3/CTA too.
It feels like it is more than "just" a modification. It's been said before but the passion, love for details, innovation and accurateness you show in creating the mod make STA3/CTA be something absolutely special. If a mod deserves to be "Mod of the year" then it is yours.

Mmh... strange. I'm sure I have seen the saucer separation in a video. Definetly the Multi Vector Assault Mode...

It would fit if the Cardassians had two Hideki variants.
A Hideki-Scout and a Hideki-Gunship corvette as we saw Hidekis in the series in both functions.

PS: With "larger planets" I mean that the size of the planets will be increased like it is done in SOAGE. That would be logic and realistic.

Sorry if this has been asked before but do you plan to replace the research, diplomacy, relationship and underground Icons in the HUD with new ones?

In one of the earlier dev diaries you wrote that the colonizing System will distinguish between small and large planets. Does that mean that there will be larger planets?

Cool greetings from Breen Prime and thank you for this amazing mod.

SINS doesn't support that. Even if it was possible it would be difficult to combine the ground combat with the space RTS element. But nevertheless the idea sounds interesting.

A great quotation... Gul Dukat.
And you are right. The Alliance would have won the war. But by the cost of a lot of more lives. Including Sisko's, Odo's... so I think it would be wrong not to appreciate the Cardassian's help.
And the founders didn't acknowledge the Alliance's greatness, I think. But I don't want to argue.

I think that Starfleet had no permission to move the fleet into Romulan space. The Enterprise was the only ship that was allowed to fly through the Neutral Zone because the Romulans invited one ship to come to Romulus for diplomatic talks... and Starfleet respected the Neutral-Zone treaty.

Wasn't the Alliance about to loose this one battle in "What you leave behind"... and only won it because the Cardassians switched the sides?

Thank you for all the work and freetime you put into this mod. It is awesome and I'm looking forward to the expansion and appreciate the hard work.

I was just wondering how you plan to do the voice effects for the Dominion. Jem'Hadar, Vorta, etc. weren't in Armada 2 from were you took most of (or all?) the other voices for the factions.

There is no difference between a democracy and a republic... A republic is a kind of democracy.
A democracy without representatives is called a "plebiscitary" democracy. Switzerland for instance works with this system.

Use Nebula Class ships. The Nebula has an ability that disables the enemy's shields so you can take out the cubes easier. (As primary frontline ships I would recommend Defiants and Akiras.)
It is also useful to use swadrons of Defiants to raid in Borg territory and cripple the Collective's economy.
