Modder for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia, Crysis series, some of which have won Crytek community awards (most popular) while one of my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods has been featured in German PC gaming magazines "PC Games" and "PC Action". Many thanks to SetaKat and david.m.e for teaching me all the tricks to modding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I'm an amateur programmer. The only honest hardware/game reviewer in the world, see (worthy mods may even get an article), Stalker.wikia admin, Cooler Master product beta tester, etc. I write coherent reviews for mods on ModDB. I mostly play Dragon Age series, Mass Effect series, The Elder Scrolls series, 3D Fallout series, Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions, KOTOR series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia and SOMA. But I'm always up for some Natural Selection 2, No More Room in Hell, Killing Floor 2, and Serious Sam HD. I only play PAYDAY 2 and ArmA 3 privately, join our community at if you'd like to play with us.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

A 100% console port. No mod support and console gameplay.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45

Game review

Clunky as hell, but a start to the evolving series. There's really no need to play this game ever since the sequel came out, which is better in nearly every regard.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad

Game review

One of the only good PvP shooters available. Compared to RO1, it is no longer clunky and feels much better. The gameplay mechanics are some of the best out there. Lets not forget the promising upcoming mods for it. This game is not without its flaws however - fatigue should play a larger role as it did in the first game, and they had to add optional easy modes for your simple minded Call of Duty / Battlefield players. The latter is hardly an issue since it's optional, but such people don't deserve sympathy.

Metro 2033

Game review - 2 disagree

This is easily the best single player shooter ever made. Excellent dialogues enhance this well-crafted story, the soundtrack is perfect, and the survival gameplay mechanics are top-notch. This is one of the most riveting adventure games I've ever played. Sadly there's no real way to mod the game.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Game review - 1 agrees

A necessary expansion with various engine improvements and a ton of mods available. Surprisingly, this game has better graphics than lots of mainstream crap today, at least on NVIDIA cards with SSAO and supersampling enabled. This is why HL2 E2 has so many modifications.

Half-Life 2: Episode One

Game review - 2 agree

A necessary expansion. Don't spend too much time looking for mods though, as most of them are made for HL1, HL2, or HL2 E2.

Half-Life 2

Game review

Overrated, but still highly original and entertaining. Lets not forget the thousands of mods waiting to be played.

Crysis Warhead

Game review

Shortened and made more linear, Warhead's success lies in the slightly improved multiplayer with an automatic mod downloader. It's still a satisfying campaign at least, but it's obvious that it went downhill, only to take a complete nose dive in Crysis 2.

Crysis 2

Game review - 2 agree - 1 disagrees

Due to the booming sales of mindless, skilless shooters, as well as the influence of EA, Crytek stooped down to Call of Duty levels and released a Halo-Call of Duty mashup called Crysis 2. This game was targeted toward consoles and it couldn't be more clear: Skimmed down campaign, multiplayer is just like Call of Duty in many aspects, removal of usable vehicles and sandbox gameplay, removal of their highly strategic Power Struggle game mode, etc. It even took them months to add good graphics to the game.

It's not even worthwhile to get this game for the editor, since the CE3 editor is available as a free download on their website. Hopefully most skilled modders realize that it is worthless to create mods for this game.

When people think of Crysis, all they think of are pretty graphics since this is why it was the most revolutionary game in recent years. Still, noticeable effort has gone into the single player and multiplayer of Crysis, making it one of the best shooters of all time. Innovative gameplay changes up the feel of Crysis, and they perfected the mechanics so it's not clunky at all.

The campaign is lengthy and sandbox style, while multiplayer has larger maps than Battlefield 3 as well as more compact maps so everyone is happy. Deathmatch and "Power Struggle" are the only multiplayer game modes, the latter is very strategic and the best PvP game mode ever created. Crysis multiplayer is one of the most fun games ever made, right next to its sequel, Crysis Wars.

When it comes down to modding, there isn't a game better than the Crysis series. Not only do they include a bunch of xml and lua files for easy, quick changes, all of these files are compressed in simple .pak files so you can use WinRAR to access them. The CryEngine 2 SDK was as revolutionary as the engine, making it much easier for people to create mind-blowing levels and much more.

Crysis is without a doubt the best all-around shooter: very good single player campaign, excellent and highly innovative multiplayer with a learning curve, and unrivaled mod support.
