Modder for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia, Crysis series, some of which have won Crytek community awards (most popular) while one of my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods has been featured in German PC gaming magazines "PC Games" and "PC Action". Many thanks to SetaKat and david.m.e for teaching me all the tricks to modding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I'm an amateur programmer. The only honest hardware/game reviewer in the world, see GND-Tech.com (worthy mods may even get an article), Stalker.wikia admin, Cooler Master product beta tester, etc. I write coherent reviews for mods on ModDB. I mostly play Dragon Age series, Mass Effect series, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights 2, KOTOR series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. But I'm always up for some Natural Selection 2, No More Room in Hell, Killing Floor, and Serious Sam HD. I only play PAYDAY 2 and ArmA 3 privately, join our community at GND-Tech.com if you'd like to play with us.

Smoother, more refined than Metro 2033. Noticeable enhancements with AI, gameplay, graphics, and optimization. Even more ambient dialogue, a new journal system to keep you up to date, and good writing make this game stand out. The pace is noticeably faster than the original.

Excellent level design, very unique and chilling atmosphere. Includes innovative gameplay features and actual well-done custom monsters.

Interesting premise, though for much of this mod you're really not in any danger. You're almost guaranteed to spend most of your playtime in pitch black with no lantern oil, which is quite annoying.

I had no idea this was even on ModDB, and I'm grateful, since the guy was banned on Nexus and this file was removed. v12 is very nice, awesome creatures, BUT YOU MUST PLAY THIS WITH LORE FRIENDLY REPLACERS which is actually still on Nexus.
One major problem is, it's uncompatible with old saves. But I haven't determined whether this is due to this mod, or Lore friendly replacers. Still... can't use old characters with these two. It doesn't matter much to me, since modded Skyrim has so many character builds.

Wow... the mediocre score of 7.9/10 is unbelievable. I first played CM11, and now CM12.21. You know what they have in common? They're all virtually perfect.
I didn't even know this was on moddb. Go to their site if you want updates and discussion, since like this page said, there are too many people whining/criticizing about the OPTIONAL HD character models (for which, the females certainly are disturbing). That's one of the best things about this mod: almost everything is OPTIONAL.
HD character replacers, cinematic soundtrack, gun replacers, SMAA injector (only use if your PC is weak and can't handle MSAA or SSAA), many new visual effects, and more are all OPTIONAL. So you can play this mod with only better graphics if you want, or enable all of the optional features for a much more immersive and atmospheric experience.
I can't imagine ever playing HL2 without this mod. Yes it's 30GB, but so what? The torrent is fast enough unless you're a 56k user or something. This mod adds so much to HL2, it's an absolute necessity. It makes the game so much more atmospheric.

Miasmata is an ambitious and unique game about survival. It hardly gives anything to the player, making this minimalistic but lengthy journey very desperate but very rewarding. Everyone should try it.

Cry of Fear certainly lives up to the hype, and is a very special mod. It feels like a game, being close to 20 hours long I'd say. It's like a first-person Silent Hill in terms of gameplay, and at times, similar atmosphere too.
It's a very interesting journey through the twisted, distorted mind of a mentally unstable, suicidal individual. I'm a fan of horror titles like this, having played through the Mistake series and Grey, but Cry of Fear is on a whole different level. Amazing mod, it deserves most of the praise.
Some things that need tweaking are the chase sequences, in which a chainsaw wielding berserk rapidly pursues you down narrow, tight corridors. The enemy is many times faster than you, and for some reason you can only sprint for a few steps before getting exhausted. They're unbalanced and just annoying as a result, and player stamina is worse than a dead person.
There's a bit of platforming in Cry of Fear, and most of it is terrible. A lot of this can be attributed to level design, such as jumping through a construction set that has tiny metal poles everywhere obstructing your path, or terrible timed platforming sections in a horribly designed level.
Another annoyance can be found on every gun; iron sights zoom in way too much, like using a scope.
