Compilation of Mystery, CS Complete, CS Remix, Absolute Nature, Gnomus scopes, additional guns from Misery, and much more. I'm not trying to steal work or credit or anything, I just figured this would be a nice thing to do since there weren't any mod packs comparable to Oblivion Lost for SoC, or Misery or SMRTER for CoP. Mystery has great atmosphere, but lacks new gameplay features. CS Complete atmosphere isn't as good as Mystery, and lacks things like new guns. So I wanted to make a great modpack for CS. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky Mod Pack 2012 is developed for Clear Sky VERSION 1.5.10, the latest version, and more specifically the English version. It includes all of the following mods:
- MYSTERY bt True Zone Projects
- Complete by Artistpavel
- CS Remix by boredgunner (that's me)
- Absolute Nature by Cromm Cruac
- Gnomus scopes by Gnomus
- Additional guns from Misery, by True Zone Projects
- Icons from Misery, OGSE, Oblivion Lost, Arsenal mod, and others
Other changes include the following:
- Fixed rare savegame corruption issue (the one associated with _g.script)
- Reduced carrying weight
- Rebalanced all weapons and armor; weapons now have identical muzzle velocity/rate of fire/magazine size as the actual gun, plus realistic recoil and accuracy
- Rebalanced healing items (less overpowered)
- Added a few new weapons
- Added Aim sway
- Improved the resistance of Snorks, Bloodsuckers, Controllers, and Pseudogiants
- Much more
INSTALLATION
- Unzip the ZIP archive
- Drag and drop the gamedata folder to your main S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky folder (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky OR C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\SteamApps\common\STALKER Clear Sky)
- START A NEW GAME and enjoy
MINIMUM SYSTEM SPECS for max detail at 1920 x 1080
- Intel Core i3 dual core or AMD equivalent
- 8GB RAM (just in case, and you might want to use a 3GB enabler with this mod due to all the new textures)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560/AMD Radeon HD 6850 or better

I've only been playing for a couple of hours but I wanted to give you a thumbs up for this compilation mod for STALKER's neglected bastard child. Everything looks crisper, the guns sound and handle great, the AI is smarter, game runs smooth, zero crashes. Cverall the best CS experience I've had.

New version with fixed NATO scopes has been uploaded, and is currently awaiting authorization. You wouldn't have to start a new game.

Clear Sky needed this. There aren't many mods for it out there, especially overhaul mods. Thank you boredgunner, it's been long since i played CS, now is the perfect time for replaying.

Is there any way in which you ( boredgunner ) could tell which files were edited or upload just those? Would be nice not to have to download ninety percent or more of the same files again.

If I was online I would have fulfilled your request. But if there's a next time I'll do that right off the bat.
I know this isn't your doing and all, it's brought over from MYSTERY, though do you have an idea where to start syncing up the audio for things? Seems that a lot that the player does ( firing weapons, turning nightvision on / off ) is about one or two seconds out of sync.
Very nice merge you put together here, thanks for uploading it. Clear Sky can use more mods.

I don't know anything about out-of-sync audio, I have no such issue. Does anyone else have this issue?
After re-installing Clear Sky, patching to 1.5.10 and now using the 1.02 version, any syncing issues are gone, perhaps the way you merged MYSTERY into this compilation negated the issues of the mod since it's clear sky release.
With more than a few large mods that contain the backpack, the emission came as it should, many thanks for adding these together with your own.
Now to get outside before more rain comes to this region.

Thanks for the quick fix. If I had one complaint about this set of mods is that it makes the AI a little too good in one respect. Whenever I get a mission where I need to "help" a faction of NPCs take over a point, I find they have gone and done it without me. Kind of refreshing to see the gang actually be useful but damn give me a sec to get there! :)
That's how the vanilla game is, nothing to do with the mod.
OK now all I see when I use a SUSAT scope on my LR300 is a black box.
Okay, I'll upload a small fix so you won't have to redownload it. Sorry about this, some of the scope textures just don't work in CS.
Here's the patch to fix it. Just drop the gamedata folder into your CS directory and overwrite all.

Is there a reason I can't aim down the sights on the Makarov? I haven't even tried any of the other pistols yet. But this is just something I noticed.
Clear Sky is always like this. No iron sights. I have no idea why... Clear Sky is a downgrade to SoC for numerous reasons and this is one of them. There are probably mods that enable them, and I'll see if I can get them working for a future version of this mod pack.
There is not enough love for Clear Sky.
It may be rinky dink as fudge, but it deserves far more credit than it usually gets.

I haven't played Clear Sky yet, would you guys recommend installing this mod first? Or should I begin with vanilla CS? Any other mods I should get?
I suppose you can start with this mod. It's mostly atmospheric changes; much better graphics, more difficulty, and a sleeping function. On top of that there's a lot of new weapons and armor, Clear Sky and Monolith factions are made more powerful, reworked/better artifact/armor stats, realistic weapon stats, etc. If you start with this, no other mods are needed. After all this is a compilation.
You always play vanilla first, so you can appreciate mods all the more.

Nah, that would be deceiving. It's not my mod, except for CS Remix, which has its own page.
Yeah true I guess, btw it would be nice if the nights were darker so night vision was useful, also dynamic helmet huds:)
Not sure if I can fix nights, since I let Atmosfear do it's thing. Maybe lower brightness slightly? For S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I usually lower brightness a bit. As for dynamic helmet HUDs, I might take those scripts from Misery.

No crash, only few silencer can't fix on gun or machine gun...
and a poor framerate during the day mainly... i'm bored to turn down the graphics settings.
But the work on the textures, graphics : photorealistic sense sometimes ! whith a sound of thunderstom :)

Hey Boredgunner, just wanted to know if there was a way to ad realistic bullet performance, such as one shot body shots with standard heavy caliber rounds. I would love to be able to put one or two shots into some guys gut with an AKM, but with the current setting it takes about 8-12.
Also, on my end, the SKS aiming down the sights is a bit wonky. It's as though i'm looking through the stock of the weapon and kindof to the left, which makes it unusable.
Other than that i am EXTREMELY happy with this mod pack, and I thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Hmm odd that the SKS is like that, it's not like that for me but still kind of wonky. I can try increasing its zoom, I think that would work. As for guns, you'd have to increase hit_power values in their files, or go to weapons.ltx and increase the k_pierce values for rifle rounds.

Am at the Agroprom, and this mod never crashes. The no garbage mugging mod
worked perfectly with this. Now I wonder if a weight mod would blend in also.

After entering Limansk, quick saves stopped working, so I had to give up
this mod.
Are you using v1.04? I had this problem initially but fixed it. I don't rely on quicksaves in these games anyway, to be safe.
Same thing : save crash to Limansk, and the game is unstable...
I replay the level, I maked 2 saves and crash again.
Sometimes it works, and today, crash (black screen) and when i returned on desktop, direct x crash message when I run Fraps... and Crysis run automatically...
I never saw that... ^^
I reboot and no problem, Fraps run correctly.
All drivers, and direct X are updated.

If you get a crash, can you post your crash log? It's in Public Documents\stalker-cs\logs or something similar. I'd just need to see the last few lines of the log file

I don't know... i cleared, a little farther on the right the small roadblock with 3 or 4 pnj, on snipe...
I entered the building on the left and clear the first floor and i begun the 2nd... and black screen.
Bug is unpredictable...
WHen i 'm dead, using a save... etc, etc...
this is a really good mod, it has fixed all the bugs that made me cry out of frustration, but i encountered a new one and im stuck right now. at the part where enter the military warehouse area after talking to forester,a freedom guy asks to go and meet the mercs in the village. but when i go to the mercs, they are not responding they just sit there and i cant talk to them. please help.

What kind of issue? Also keep in mind, this mod is designed for English version.
You're from france, right? To avoid this issue, you should move the content from gamedata/configs/text/eng to the folder gamedata/configs/text/fra (if it isn't existing, just create it). After that, you should change the localization.ltx from eng to fra. This file should be in the original unpacked files, search for the unpacker in the internet. After finishing, you should have it at least in english. Note: Everything will be in english.
