Any Multi-player Freelancer Mod has to be about the community that plays within it, more than about the special effects or the ships and systems within the Mod. That said, the Crossfire community is one of the worst I have ever experienced. New players are expected to kiss the butts of the "veterans" and if you have decided to pay $20 per month to have your own clan system, you are allowed to be above the rules that govern the server. If you spot a rule infraction by one of these "elite" members, you can expect that all the other veterans already know about it. If you attempt to bring that infraction to light, you are condemned as a "boat rocker". Avoid this community at all costs.

Although the Mod is HUGE... and I mean really Big (which can deter some), and the enemies can be tough... this is a great Mod for a community. You do not treat it as if it is a single player adventure. You need to rely on the experience and assistance of others. That's what Multiplayer is all about. The systems and ships are great for any fan of SciFi. There is something for everyone to enjoy here.
