Avid gamer! South-Africa's gaming scene is mostly focused on western games so games like S.ta.l.k.e.r is GOLD here! (For me at least)
Maybe change the text color to white.
Holy ****! I never imagined that thunder would add that much more atmosphere. The next logical step in my illogical brain would be more dynamic storms with mutants reacting to them. I live in a dream world.
I am loving your UI, and how you implemented it when using physics within the game. It's really well done.
You guys have something good going here, and I hope you'll be successful in your endeavors.
Although I have to say, the layout idea is good. It's fresh. Keeps the focus on the game and not the menu. So that's cool.
You have some interesting ideas here... but I really do think it can be done a bit better. We live in a time where embossed / 3D menus are frowned upon. I'm talking about that lovely exit button of yours. Also why put such a thick black border around your logo? Maybe a easy shadow effect would work much better... :)
Dude, if you want it to be realistic there are some minor things to consider. If for instance you spawn in Sid's bunker, then when you join your faction you'll have to find your own way there right? Not teleport there.
Ah sounds good. Base survival was what I had in mind. I guess with the name of Fort Builder comes the inevitable: "When will we be able to recruits NPCs to defend our fort with?"
Any reason for then making it version 2.0? What new things do you guys have in mind? What does the roadmap for this mod look like?
You have no idea, at night lost alpha is insanely tense.
That you can see ;)
You are spoiled!
Logo is nice, lens flare is not.
This is one of the nice reasons to being a network admin at a large company. I backup all my stuff on the company's servers. Even then I still have 6 hard drives in my home pc, and use raid 0 to backup everything I can.
You should write some fiction. I'm really enjoying the way you experience the game. Might try to play it the same way.
Heh, is this going to be some sort of emotional ride as well? Good luck, hope you keep this diary alive! Following you on twitter for now.
I would like to get my paws on it as well! :D
Kenya isn't the only place that looks like this. This looks like a area about 5 minutes drive from where I live. She's also only seeing one side of the situation. But I've ranted enough about these things.
If you move your case around a lot then a watercooling system might not be the best idea. Although Corsair's new range is quite sexy. I'd stick to air and just get some nice dust filters in front of your fans.
I see you have a old case, might be a good idea to just get a new case, most of them come with air filters and if the PSU is at the bottom that also helps a lot with dust and heat.
It sure does!
That will stay a secret for now ;)
Funny thing you should mention that, in some cases Lost Alpha is reminding me of Half Life. You can almost pretend you are Gordon Freeman, in the zone. Just like the eater egg from SOC.
Part of the updated engine... but I can tell you now this is not from that engine. This is still the old engine.
You know Predator I wish I could help you with testing this mod. If only I wasn't already working on Lost Alpha. Would be nice for you to have a local tester around eh.
Wine is a good analogy. Even after opening the bottle you still have to wait. Let the wine settle to the same temperature as the room to enjoy the full flavor.
I'll tell you this much: So far from a testing side this mod is looking better then any other mod I've tried out for Stalker. Even if you only take into consideration the amount of new features. Mind boggling! ;)
Actually my real love is Graphics designing and art. But testing games comes close second.
We've also implemented other lovely features and reworked most of the weapons.
You should understand that the sheer amount of testing we have to do is astonishing at the least. Not to mention the new graphics features and hardware implementation. We're trying to bring out a mod that's polished and plays smoothly with a story that would make any stalker proud.
Please just hang in there! We're working around the clock to get this out to you. :)
This could be so damn handy!
Wow that's quite nice.
I'm a software tester by profession, it would be the obvious step for me to join their testing team. ;)
