Stalker's default hands look pretty *** IMO.

Dying in the game is still pretty terrifying and adds a lot to it.

Also, do you plan on making the genestealers quieter, and adding more random distant ambient sounds, as if they are screwing with the ship? That would probably make them a little more menacing.

It's a shame you can't recode them to do things like they did in the old games, like retreat and try to find a way to flank you or just take cover while you shoot. That would make fighting stealers a lot more tense.

He recently made it so you can transfer saves from the original game, and the next release will be able to fully replace dosbox.

I'm curious, can you make your death act like the old DOS game or better yet, the 96 sequel? It was so awesome and scary when you died how your guy screamed and it just looked like a camera went dead. You never saw yourself die so it made it even creepier, and it was very "Aliens" like too.

Well there were parts of On a Rail that were good, but it was overshadowed by the really convoluted and confusing parts.

I think BM's On a Rail was really a step up, except it was too short. In the original it felt like the old missile silo was miles away, like you really traveled far, while in BM it didn't feel like that.

I think with the new ideas and redesigned areas of BM's on a rail + some of the old set pieces and segments of HL1's OAR it could find a nice middle ground so that it's longer and gives a feeling of a journey without dragging on like the original did.

The second option would be kind of arrogant don't you think, as yes maybe they didn't think up the game, but the entire team still put just as much hard work as other mods, if not more, to try and deliver a polished and stellar product.

I personally fail to see how remaking one of the most solid and fun games of all time serves to somehow make them less deserving of recognition just because it's a remake.

Some of the things Hexen 2 did would really be great to have in the mod - tons of breakable objects, and weaponry like the powered up scarab gun from the assassin, with how it lifts up and rips apart enemies. Just ideas like that could really go a long way towards making the gameplay more fun.

Also, will the weapons have idle anims that play after a little bit? I never liked how HL2's stock weapons were always just perfectly still.
