Report RSS EA is in violation of Australia's Consumer rights!

Posted by on

well, today i was quite bored and was on google randomly googleing (if that's the correct term) stuff on the internet, while my friend was playing Fifa, and made me think to search "what to do when your being buttfucked by EA" don't ask me why but i did. and it came up with all the normal shit and caboodle, but something caught my eye, an article on EA's latest SimCity 4. which i heard was pretty darn shitty, but it is also a fraudulent product. EA claims that "SimCity 4 is being run serverside to take most of the load off your computers" well, a modder by the name of Azzer proved that wrong by allowing SimCity 4 to be run entirely clientside (Full article here: Rockpapershotgun.com ) now that got me thinking, isn't that fraud? so i delved deeper into the subject and came across this little article which may or may not be true but it seems like something that EA would do; Forum.ea.com (Scroll Down) here someone is clearly being told that they are within their right to REQUEST a refund, but EA is able to deny it, which it probably does all the time, and the australian Consumer Rights Assosiation clearly state that there are LAWS AGAINST THIS MISCONDUCT Accc.gov.au . so basically EA is violating Australian Consumer Law. luckily, though, banks aren't full of money sucking pricks and are actually smart so if you paid by credit card, you can ask for a 'chargeback'. if they ask you why you wish to go through with this, say something about fraud, because your not lying to them since this is fraud. This fiasco only strengthens my point about how much i hate EA. in fact, if EA read this, i am sure they would be unhappy and might ban my origin account and i'm not going to lie, that would be really fucking annoying because all i did was express my opinion on their shoddy products and buisness model. it is a free country! but anyhow, i hate EA (If you haven't already guessed). i mean, why would you (for your biggest release of the year) release battlefield 3 on origin BETA!?!?! that's a recipie for disaster as i know people who didn't buy battlefield 3 because of origin. but let's think of it this way, Origin was the turning point for EA, the point of no return unto which EA became a money sucking company filled with retards who need jobs.
