it should be all in the read me file. if you're using the TSLpacher then all you need to do is locate your kotor folder in the programs file and click install. heres a link to a copy which uses the patcher Knightsoftheoldrepublic.gamefront.com hope it works out :)

for some reason the holograms in both kotor and kotor 2 just appear as normal people :/ is this due to the graphics card?
