Update your Launcher by downloading the latest version from either ModDB or Terran Gaming.
The previous versions of the launcher broke with an update to the Terran Gaming site, including its self-updater, so we kinda had to upload a fresh version.
It is "+set fs_game JKG", and you must launch the game from Steam, selecting Multiplayer. If you try to launch from the Launcher itself, it will attempt to launch Single Player.
And simply extract to your JKG directory, overwriting the old pk3 files.
For those about to snipe, we salute you!
It's the BaseJKA model, reskinned by Darth Phae. We've already showed off that in
Moddb.com
but I found this cut screenshot while browsing for stuff to give to Cael. xD
y u b firin from le hip?! :P
We should've put up this earlier... But oh well, what do you do when the stuff you originally planned on showcasing gets delayed? :P
Anyone else than me who's played the Xbox version of JK2 or JKA? I just tried it once, but the flashing lights on the tripmines stuck on me... So they made their way into JKG as well. :D
Indeed, the positive feedback really is what keeps us going. :D
We are trying to keep it in an in-universe setting, that might tie in with the storyline of the future phases. So it's up to the player if they choose to stay in character and build reputation on the server, although it'll most likely be by combat and not by talk... It is kinda hard to keep a decent chat with bullets flying around your head. =)
From our FAQ:
At what time in the Star Wars universe will JKG take place?
Between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, after the events depicted in The Force Unleashed.
It's going to be LEGEN....... wait for it...
It will be possible playing with Force powers and lightsaber, but it's not advised for phase I since Jedi have had very little work on them. Also, if a Jedi appears on the battlefield, they tend to draw a lot of attention from other players. And these other players generally have guns... >:D
I like that the preview snapshot shows the Stouker... :P
And this is just a small potion of it. :D
See what I did there? ;)
A tad too grainy for my taste... Dunno how to change that in Max though, but you could run a Despeckle filter in Photoshop to remove most of the noise.
We're all our own content, so doing a KotF is fortunately impossible. :P Hideous mod... o.o
Thanks! The gun is the same that we showed in a Dev Screenshot a while back (https://www.moddb.com/mods/jkgalaxies/images/dev-screenshot-october-14th-2011), albeit from a slightly more epic point of view... =D
People, y u no comment on neither news posts nor screenshots? :o
Read the article. :) This shows a few stages of the "evolution" of JKG's fire effects.
"All I hear - is BUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRNNNNNN...!!!!!!!" >:D
As always, the ModDB version of the Developer Diary will take a few days to get authorized. It is up in its full glory on JKGalaxies.com though, so head over there if you cannot wait for the article! =)
Nice gun in the background though. Always look on the bright side... xD
