My name is Michael Mallet and i live in Quebec city, Canada. I am 26 years old, a hardcore gamer and a 3D artist at heart. Ive been at it since 1996 with the release of Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 game from LucasArts. I started as a level designer and moved on to 3D modeling shortly after that. Then came the wonderful game that is Half-Life, made by Valve Software. This game opened up a whole world of possibilities for me as it features great gameplay, awesome graphics that were ahead of its time and most importantly, it was easily moddable. The modding community exploded with the release of Counter-Strike which, beleive it or not, i helped test in its early beta days. I loved working on changing the game to my liking by creating replacement models, spending countless hours making multiplayer maps, editing and creating higher resolution textures and making custom animations and even new sounds. I touched every single aspect of game design, even coding.
No blog entries have been posted here. Boring yes, but as confucius says - if you have nothing good to say, why say anything at all? Check back later, perhaps something exciting will pop-up and be worth blogging about, like season 3 of the teletubbies.
Speak your mind, rant about games, mods and the development scene, it's simple and who knows maybe someone will read it and agree. It will feel right!
