Well, total annihilation is an epic game, surviving 13 years now? Still kicking and squirming with life. Absolutely fun, not just to play and learn strategy, but to mod and manipulate as well. (example: Total annihilation escalation shields manipulate the game engine using script hacks and a weapon that acts as an anti-weapon i think)

But, it could use improvements.

1)In ta, a unit can haee a max of three weapons, and even that is hard. Increase weapon limit to 5 different weapons. (at least)
2)PATHFINDING SHOULD BE BETTER!
3)ai should be able to be more intelligent. The ai controls in ta, for the most part, are primitive. The ai should be able to have it's build patterns affected easily without editing the exe. (totala.exe)
4)ai should build nukes/antinukes and launch them properly
5)ai needs more control on resources
6)graphics (models/antialiasing/) should be better. also, there should be a water effect or, on acid maps, an acid effect. a reflection of light on water and acid and make it look like its actually water/acid instead of being seemingly-stationary. (optional choice when bulding maps; select areas of map where the heightmap is below like -45 or something.)
7)slopes in ta can only be between -255 and 255, make it -500 to 500
8)ta's savegame needs to be more reliable
9)less redundant units
10)going up to tech 6-would be EPIC
