That sort of logic makes pretty good sense to me, and I almost did just that, but I was told that releasing a freespace open mod with a nightly build is not standard practice since the builds change and nightlies go out of date quickly. In the end it worked out since there was a bug in the code exploited by this mod that scp caught and fixed in a more recent nightly.

Now's a good time to download a build though, since a more stable 'release candidate' build has been made available. You can get it here.

I like how you can customise the tanks. Looks like there's strategy in what you pick e.g. speed vs power. This game looks pretty cool, and installing it was a breeze. Now all I have to do is wait for more people to show up on the servers!
