Shame to see that this mod is dead (I presume it is dead anyway) because it showed promise. Perhaps the modder might continue it for Homeworld: Remastered, if they are inclined to do so. In any case, best of luck to DarkSajuuk regardless of whether he/she continues the mod or not.
Most excellent mod for Yuri's Revenge in, well, ever. 20/10 guys, because you guys gave at least 200% in this project. Worth the wait!
@ Jinzor: Australia was a member of the Allied Powers due to our alliance with Great Britain and that Imperial Japan was our enemy at the time (which is why we allied with the United States), therefore we did not use German equipment during the Second World War. We did have Leopard 1 tanks from Germany during the Cold War era as our MBTs, which have since been replaced by the M1 Abrams. They could be Sentinel tanks, but those were only prototypes. I'm sure an alternate historical scenario could easily see Sentinels taking the field, but we used mainly American vehicles at that time instead - theirs were better, and there were more of them. Sorry for the big load of text in the history lesson, but as a descendant of an Australian soldier who fought on the Kokoda Track, I feel obligated to set the record straight as best I can. Greetings from Australia, BTW. Looks like a good mod.
This file is broken. I try to install it and it keeps coming up with errors:
"F:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\SGU_Data\ \CommandMap.ini
An error occurred while trying to create a file in the destination directory:
The system cannot find the path specified.
Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended) or Abort to cancel installation."
I click Ignore, but it just repeats the message again for another similar file. My only option is to abort. I have given my computer permission to run the file and I have enabled compatibility mode. I am using Windows 7 x64 Home Premium as my computer's OS.
Is there something I forgot to do, or is the installation file damaged, or is it just an incompatibility with the OS?
Agreed. The models can always be replaced later :-)
That is of course if you're putting the Gundam etc sides into the Xenoforce Reborn versions in the Original 3 thread. I'm not quite sure what you have planned for that.
Mostly for me it's all about the larger, epic scale, and the diversity of units. The pre-existing lineup of tanks, infantry, planes and such from the original C&C 3, combined with the use of more sci-fi elements like spaceship units for the GDI and Nod as well as the Scrin. I like the idea of the extra doctrines for Nod and being able to adopt all of them in the same battle. I'd like to see the anime sides improved upon their original forms, nothing wrong with them except their buildings never quite looked right to me, then again I have been known to nit-pick.
You guys have outdone yourselves; Xenoforce Original 3 is absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see more.
And for that, you got my 10/10 vote. You have an excellent sense of style in RTS faction design. Kudos to you.
Looks awesome, Dark-Sajuuk. I am looking forward to playing as the Beast again.
