Let's begin with the good stuff. First, kudos to whoever did the translation in the respect that it it mostly comprehensible to native English speakers.
Second, the plot is really quite good, with reasonable scenarios and conflicts. Kudos-plus for the plot and story-line!!
Gear availability is good, and balance of weapons is actually pretty good.

Now to the nit-picking...
First, is the same complaint many mods receive. What is with all of the running back and forth from one end of the ******* zone to the other, again and again, with each small mission or job, whatever. Back and forth! Back and forth! It becomes ******* BORING and senseless.
There are few enemies to fight along the way, and there are relatively few anomalies or mutants to fight or avoid in most of the maps. So, why all the traveling? It doesn't make sense, and become irritating.

Second, I do have to ask the question of how old is the translator? With all of the curse words slung throughout much of the dialog which make absolutely no sense at all and, in fact, slows down readability and comprehension, it seems as though the translator is 10-years-old. That bit needs to be cleaned up so the translator does not look like a fool. I mean, it isn't even funny.

Other than that, it is a good, fun mod, with plenty of new ideas and some decent action at times.

So, overall, thanks to the modder(s) and translators involved for their efforts!!

Did you ever find a guide or walkthrough, or even a hint or two?
I spoke to Barkeep and found a line to ask about a job paying good money, and that directed me to find some guy called the Alchemist, who could supposedly have info about turning off the anomaly in Dead City.
Found the guy, then got a task to find his missing flasks with the words "Talk to Mona." Who is Mona? Where is Mona? Also some hints about following bandits, and checking some anomaly field. Did all that ****, and found nothing to help.

Glitch is still unknown, however:

I went backwards chronologically thru my Quick Saves and Hard Saves, testing each one to validate if the scopes worked or not. Once I identified the last save where they worked, I deleted all of the broken ones and started over at the known good save.
When I did that, I did Quick Saves very often and tested scopes each time. I discovered that the glitch did not happen at the same map or place as before. This time, it occurred as I entered the Bandit Base in Dark Valley.
Again, I reverted to the last known good save, and moved forward from there. I am now with Sidorovich after DV and it has not happened again.

Most of the resolutions that I have seen for this problem that actually worked indicate this is an issue caused by some glitch in Windows and how that plays with OpenAL. It is NOT an issue with OpenAL or how it is installed.
Most of the fixes that actually worked, and the one that worked for me, was to update the drivers in whatever you are using for sound control. Whether that is RealTec or NVidia or whatever. I use an NVidia video and sound card, so I updated the full driver package for my Nvidia and that worked for all games and STALKER mods. Nothing else I tried worked, not even updating Windows to the latest version.

One other alternative might be to check the sound device or software used by mod itself. You might be able to choose a generic software for sound, rather than OpenAL.

Okay, gents, strange thing happened. Somewhere in the first visit to Agroprom, I lost the ability to look through scopes. The scope is installed and was operational before going to Agro. Now, after Agro, when I use Right Mouse to look through scope, the weapon rises up and presents as if looking down iron sights. The scope is still there and viewable in the presentation of the rifle, but the view is as if iron sights.

Any ideas about this seeming glitch?

Really, you "cracked their format?" Then you make some vague insulting statement about newbies, inferring each of us who posted here with questions are newbies and therefore not as smart as you?

Why can you not simply post the specific steps you took to crack their format successfully? That would be far more impressive and helpful than some snarky claim with no proof.

ColonelRH is correct, though there is one other method you can try. Go to your game folder with root files, and open the "userdata" folder. Then open the "user.ltx" file. Inside the user.ltx, look for "g_language/space/threeletters" The list is alphabetical so its easy to find.
Whatever three letters you find will most likely be either "rus" or "ukr". Change them to read "eng", then save the file.
That should fix by changing language to English.

Hello Phallix,
I tried this tool, downloaded it, then downloaded and installed JAVA Runtime Environment. I created a folder called "Unpacked" as the recipient file.
Nothing happens when I initiate the unpacking. I select the path to the db, then the recipient file, then use the selections of Game and Architecture. No matter what settings I select, nothing happens. No files are unpacked.
Any other suggestions or db unpacking tools?

I ran into this error also in a different STALKER game, tried all kinds of different work-arounds but none worked for me. It seems to be an issue of how some sound controllers like nVidia work with Windows 10 and OpenAL.
I finally resolved my error by going to my sound controller website and downloading/installing the very latest drivers.

Another interesting situation in the Adventure story. I am currently stuck outside the village in the second map after getting captured by liquidators (bandits). Held captive by three of them near a destroyed APC, a dead tree, and a campfire. Found ways to engineer an explosion that is capable of killing one of the bandits, but the two remaining are invincible. No matter if I knife them repeatedly, shoot them with a full mag of 5.54mm, or hit them with a grenade, they won't ******* die.
They are relentless in pursuing me if I run from the camp and one shoots me while the other knifes me.
I can only run so far in any direction before the AI kills me. There are two bloodsuckers in one direction, but they die easily with a knife slash.
I did find a note on one of the dead bandits on one save/relaunch which mentions something about circling an oak tree three times to escape from somewhere. So, I have tried circling every ******* oak tree I can find but with no results.

Any hints?

So, in Journey episode, how is one supposed to pass the marksmanship training? No matter what I do or how I hit the targets, the game assigns 150 training points. Is there some secret of rotation, left to right, or right to left? Or is it just plain aiming? Or maybe timing? Could it be the number of times you fail and retake the test?
Grateful for any hints so I can progress forward thru the game.

Sorry to report, but there is an issue with the sequence of picking up the shiny object that Weirdo (Eccentric) requires in the Acid Bog. I have played through the opening map three full times now, and done at least twenty Quick-start relaunches, plus at least ten full Close-and-Relaunches. Every single time I pop the bubble, the tracker switches position to the large rock beside the bent-over tree and the anomaly.
I have searched the bushes minutely all around the area, searched the rock area itself, and found nothing at any time.
I have tried multiple time with the bubble settled in the mud, or just after it rises and rotates clockwise, or rises and rotates counter-clockwise, and hit it alos when it rises to floats steady for a moment.
Under no circumstances do I find it dropping any kind of shiny object for me to pick up.
Apologies for this lengthy report, but I cannot find any PM info for you. Also, I cannot imagine who I have done anything wrong or out of sequence, but am certainly willing to understand there is something different necessary of which I am unaware.

When you enter the first number correctly into the first position, there is a soft click and a new transposition set appears. Identify the second position, enter that numeric into Position 2, and again a new transposition grid appears. Rinse and repeat. If you hear a loud, harsh click, something went wrong and you need to start over by clicking the "Open" button, getting rejected to a new view, hit Enter to open the task and start over.
If you run into a letter "K" in the position you require, you have hit a "non-entry letter", and you must start the whole sequence over from the start.

I have the idea of the safe code, but what does "K" equal numerically? There are only ten slots, numbers 1 thru 10, and therefore ten alphabet letters, A thru J. How does "K" fit in?

Played most of the way through the first map and gotta say this is a very fun mod with good plot steps.
First issue and question is how to find/pick up item after speaking with Weirdo and chasing anomaly circle. Point indicated is a large rock, with no items to pick up anywhere near it. How to find item?
Second issue and question is how to work the codes for safes? Transposing alpha/numeric is easy, but clicking numbers does not seem to work properly. Click all numbers correct for from positions One through Four, or even sometimes up to Nine positions seems to work, then somewhere between position Five and Ten, suddenly code switches to new code as a fail. What are the specific rules for entering code properly to work?
Great lab sequence, by the way. Very enjoyable play there overcoming obstacles.
Also, have looked everywhere suggested but cannot find fuel for generator at Patron house. Where?

However, I find myself stuck in X-18 after dealing with the sniper group. How to get out? Normal transition leads to locked door. Can anyone give me a hint, or lead me to a walkthrough which explains?

I have tried searching Discord and YouTube but cannot find anything which helps with this specific issue.
