You can get either v1.0 Base or Full, depending on if you want graphical enhancements or not. Then get v1.05b, and put it over the top of v1.0. Start a new game and you're off :)

There's not really a new system as such. There are lots of variants of weapons with individual enhancements that you can find/buy that act as a pseudo-replacement, but there's no actual upgrade feature I'm afraid. 2.0 will re-introduce it with new balanced upgrades :)

Unfortunately I would suggest that unless you know what you're doing, they're basically stuck at their current versions :/ Especially AtmosFear, the new version has a LOT of changes that needed to be merged manually. Sorry.

Redux's FoV is actually the same as vanilla, maybe you're getting that effect since the HUD and viewmodels are removed for most of the screenshots? :)

Are you using an English version of the game? :) You can select 'Master' and it will act the same, although let me know if you see any custom text or not!

Well Redux is about realism more than difficulty, but brings both without sacrificing the other. 2.0 will be expanding the original game in ways that extend these aims :)

While I respect what the Misery guys do, Redux and Misery are simply two different mods. Don't worry though, you'll only need one of them by the time Redux v2.0 comes out ;)
