I am only guessing but I suspect it's meant to mean only usable through the Gem editor program because its not implemented in the main game or mod. Which means you can use it to create your own battles.

Go for whatever you think fits the purpose or feel of the unit. Seeing how you designed it you probably have the best feel for what fits best after people give you some fresh ideas.

Im working on a 3d model of a Pak43 just to learn the ropes. I'm new to modelling so no guarantees that I get it done, but if anyone wants to use it and finds a use then thats a bonus. Also with the map, I've gotten things up and moving but I'm hobbled with slow progress as my main computer is currently awaiting repair. (Struggling along with a laptop) :-(
I'll hopefully gain some more momentum once I have more time to spair and a fue less projects on the go at the same time. Then I intend to focus more towards this mod.

I love good quality sounds. It's sometimes lacking in games, often treated as a secondary feature. I'm glad its being taken seriously.
Great sound is a good way to raise the immersion level, I somewhat prefer it to shiny graphics.
One question; will the game have 3d sound and interact with the environment?

I totally agree about the endless daft patching DMS are doing. Adding stuff yes fine but even thats not always a good thing and changing and removing things on a whim is just irritating. I still play the old Vanilla game sometimes as its a great game without all the fussing about how a medical health pack should look like in the inventory.

Your right, many cross platform games, mostly so called AAA titles, end up working to the lowest common denominator, which are the consoles.
Nothing wrong with Wolfenstein, a classic from a different age. But I wonder if its not a little out of place here. I get the feeling this isn't suposed to be like that. Personally if I want Wolfenstein then I play wolfenstein.
My point was not about this being 'like' Wolfenstein, I'm quite sure it isnt. But about odd conflicting game art choices. Not that it overly matters, its the heart of the game I'm interested in. Which by the way appears to be conceptually and primordially magnificent.

What does get me about this game is the comical (Hollywood) muzzle flash for weapons.

Your right, the game engine and the limited map sizes makes long ranges impractical from a tactical perspective. It doesn't fit the scale of the game, sadly.
But from a video making or custom scenario its still interesting.
For me the range is dependant on other factors, such as if the battlefield has been designed with the range in mind or if other mechanics are adapted to fit, like the AI engangement ranges etc. Vanilla worked well in its own way and worked for tactical perposes with the original limitations of the game. The MowAS versions increased ranges stressed out playablilty on some of the smaller maps when using anything more powerful than infantry.

This is great. Really good work and love the smoke and sound effects. Really excellent.
The meaning of the word has no bearing on the joke, merely the knowledge of its context.
A lot of things in the Movies don't make a whole lot of sense. Often things are changed or omitted that end up losing a great chunk of the character/detail/logic from the books & the things that are valued by many are left out. Leading them to be 'Peter Jackson's' LOTR & not Tolkiens.
I give these guys (devs) a whole lot of respect for setting the books & manuscripts of Tolkiens Arda first and walking a finer line. Especially as this isn't a movie but a rpg game where greater immersion and depth is greatly desired.
So let them create their project as they see fit. They are gracious & modest enough to recognise that views will differ on something so grand & engage with the community of enthusiasts of book & film to better the results.
Frankly I may not agree with every nut & acorn (so far I mostly do) but I'm not the one putting in the hours.

Attacking with a mine is known as suicide. They are intended for defence. They are great at protecting areas like flanks. I love making the enemy fear them. Mines are great because you don't need many to make the foe think twice about a charge and its sometimes good to let them know you laid some.
That better have a long build time, even with quick dry concrete. :-P

It would be good if the game spawned an entity for the smoke but it seems to be part of the object.
Sorry about the confusion.
I might have forgotten how the smoke fx spawns but if its an already crashed/distroyed vehicle at the start of the game, then each smoke fx is its own entity and can be located and deleted. I may have misremembered but thats how I think they can be prevented at the start of the game loading. If I'm way off, someone will correct me I'm sure.
Can't you locate and delete the fx entities for each smoke column? Or have I misunderstood what you meant? :-)

Just wanted to say I've done my own skins for fun from time to time and I recommend reducing the vibrance of some of the colours (in this case the green). From real life into a game world its always best to be careful with colours. I really like your work, great effort, keep at it.
I like the ones you've done based on historic paints and patterns best, top job.
