had some problems
1. incredibly dark. flashlight did almost nothing, and everything was pretty much pitch black to start with.
2. the people at Cordon shoot on sight. cant get any weapons, and cant get to the guy that gives weapons and the mission to save nimble
does this mod mix with Shaders MAX and/or Absolute textures?
ive dl'd the Diplomacy Ver 7 Extended part and put it into the
User/AppData/Local/Ironclad/SoaSE/Mods-Diplomacy v3.14
file due to using Vista (32-bit)
when i go into the Options menu i can see the mod, and i tell the game to activate it. however, when i try to activate it, the "activated mods counter" remains at 0 and none of the new races are available.
any idea why it wont actually register while still showing up?
i think i found a slight bug.
When i had Reloaded in S:CoP it would bug after a while and make it so that the game CTD when trying to go to Skadovsk with Pilot. the error would report as an access violation with "dialogue holder_something"
so i uninstalled-reinstalled S:CoP and played without reloaded and it worked fine.
this WAS with version .6, though (i think)
would like to see:
-faster base movement all around unless using heavy weapons and/or heavier classes, with the sprint button being tied to fatigue or something to prevent constant useage.
-faster bolter fire. even the basic tyranid has all of its weapons raring to go. the marine has to either switch weapons or hope to goodness that the thing opens up a friend before attacking him so he can get his knife/grenade out.
-slightly smaller maps unless movement is increased, so that you can actually get to the fight in time after respawning.
-better jumping. im one of the "best" warriors in the Imperium and yet a sandbag can completely stonewall me? wtf?
other than that, the mod shows great promise
found a graphics glitch on the big river map (when you first get logistics blimps)
when i got to the small NOD base on the other side of the river and an Ion storm came around, the entire map had electricity running on it.
-also, some units need to have their firing rates increased (like the jeep)
-commando needs an armor boost
-the commando in the mission where you start out with one needs to either get an armor boost or needs to start off as heroic.
-veinhole monster needs to last until someone kills the center. waiting several minutes for a temporary(lasts about 3 mins, i think) sarlacc pit isnt good. if you can script it to spread, then that would be great
-The Horde's entry voice. hearing "WE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!" every half second gets old fast
i think the into voice for the Horde units needs to be changed.
hearing "WE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!" every half second gets kind of old. maybe a rallying cry would be better...
found a few bugs here and there, but nothing that interferes with the game too badly.
the forgotten really take some getting used, too, lol. didnt know how to set up defenses at first...
wonder if this mod and tiberium essence can be combined somehow...
The Vertigos are actually the only NOD aircraft i use. Stealth+Massive Attack power=win.
the Banshees are nice, especially for anti-epic defense, but for base destruction theyre a little weak due to their having to fly around (at least in the campaign)
i tried out one of the orca bombers....not too impressive against buildings, im afraid.
theyre good against grouped vehicles/infantry, but they suck at demolition...
the scorpion tank looks a little...unbalanced.
try moving the treads back towards its center
smooth out the metal just a little bit, and then make the glass completely smooth
"quote ADM-Ntek"
im using the german kane editon.
"endquote"
theres your problem. TE only works for the original Tiberium Wars
hate to complain, but could you make the Scrin base defenses a little more...robust?
i was playing the scrin campaign and i got to the point where you have to capture the 2 data buildings.
everything was going alright except for the fact that i had to replace my base defenses every time NOD or GDI decided to sneeze in my direction
yeah, thats the one thing i missed about the railguns.
in TS, the ghoststalker rocked not only because of his mutant abilities, but because he had a gun that fired THROUGH enemies.
it rocked. hard.
in TS, the Kodiak was a mobile command and control center, not a warship
so a support role would be more fitting if it's going to be put in
well...yeah, sort of.
youd want something different so that the sides dont seem like copies of one another.
yeah...
you could add the montauk as a large, subterranean troop carrier. maybe able to carry 3-5 squads instead of just 1 like the regular APCs
the kodiak as an attack epic might be too much like scrin, so maybe have it as a support unit that can repair other units (GDI is seriously lacking in vehicle repair), or have its own abilities? that is, IF youre adding it.
also, Nod gets 2 cyborg commandos at once? why didnt i know about this? :_ l
technically, yeah. he does use an automatic railgun. its supposed to be a prototype, though.
and the Kodiac as an epic WOULD be awesome, but that would make GDI somewhat like the scrin in having a walker epic and a flying epic...
Carnius, just played a few games as the different factions and i must say...
you are awesome. period.
love the scrin epics, and the when i saw the flamethrower on the cyborg commando, i laughed out loud in amazement.
a very, very good job, and i cant wait to see how you refine it further
"Honestly"on a wide variety of operating systems, each with different capabilities?"
You got to be kidding me? Mods on TW 3 work on all OS even on windows 7."
but for each one you have to make it so that the textures you make wil work in each of the different graphics settings. things that work for high res (which is what Carnius seems to use) might not work for low-res, which some of the people here use
""modding is a hard business""
then let me see YOU mod something like this faster than Carnius.
have patience. do you have any idea how hard it is to mod something so that it works on a wide variety of operating systems, each with different capabilities?
modding is a hard business, especially when youre doing it alone. so leave the guy be, and just wait.
dang
yeah, for some reason, W7 decides that installing programs in about 3 different places is a good idea.
i got some Sims 3 mods working, but this one continues to elude me.
anyone here have Windows 7 and have this mod working?
im trying to install this mod in a Windows 7 machine, but the "Game Browser" option doesnt appear in the CD menu
build up base defenses.
if that doesnt work, use air. the CC cant counter air
dont rush the man. he doing the best he can, given that no one helps
i might be able to help with modeling, if youre interested.
i need to know how the models are done in here, though. (like, are they exported to another program to edit, or edited with the in-game engine, etc.)
