We're not ready to fully go in depth on how the levels will be setup at the moment. I can say that each level will leave you with quite a bit to explore and to experience the wonders, and dangers, that come with the aftermath of a war based apocalypse.
Just have a little faith in us. We're going to do what is best for the game and make it the best we can for you guys. We do this so you guys can have a great experience playing our game.
Oh come on now, don't have that mindset. To be honest with you, the game actually got better since it was cut out. You may really like open world games, this one just wouldn't fit. You got to go with what will make the game better.
No. The free roam was cut. However, for each level we are going to try and open it up a bit to leave some exploration for players to enjoy. It's interesting to explain. It's not open world, but we want to open levels up.

I'm not sure if you're referencing the character or the backdrop. If it's the character, Jason is more of a simple design than Liz. If it's the backdrop, Jason actually has a little hidden spoiler in it.

Right now we are only building the PC version. We will then utilize some tools to enable it for PS3 and 360.
I'm not the one who does the concepts. Our concept artist doesn't have Skype and has to have a translator to read and reply to emails (he only speaks Spanish).

I don't understand what you mean by cliche female character. I have yet to see any game character, male or female, look, dress, act, speak or move like Liz.
Her chest size is actually small and we made sure that it was. She's a very fit and athletic character and it wouldn't make sense to have a large chest and throw her out of porportion. On another note, we're going in the opposite direction of how most games show women. We're taking away the ridiculous overly-sexualized females and covering them up and making them more than walking eye candy. They have character and each one contributes immensely.
Along with that every character has an EXTREMELY large and rich personality portrayed through not only how they act, speak, the decisions they make but also how they dress. Each character is rich and fruitful with personality and every character is different. If you were to read some of the lines written for each character and not know who they were for, you could match them up perfectly. Liz is one of the most strongly outlined personalities in Patriots and is a blast to fight with. When you actually get a chance to see and meet her in game, you will then realize this.
Yes. Her hairstyle of choice is dreadlocks. Again, has to do with personality.
Liz is final. No more tweaks. But, your opinion is your opinion. I strongly suggest waiting to actually meet Liz before you make your final decision. But if you have, I can't change your mind.
lol we'll take that as a compliment. I don't know how we managed to find these extremely talented and dedicated people. I myself am incredibly grateful for my fellow team and wouldn't trade them for anyone.

Yes, Izaak is still a part of our team and drew this piece as well as the inside piece.
If you notice, we have been quite consistant with our updates. This is the only time we've had some silence. Also, as I said previously; it's a good thing. That means we're working hard and have some good things coming soon.
We will be getting updates out soon, we're just getting ready for a huge release of things. When we have these silent times it's actually a good thing.
When the silience comes over us like this, it's actually a good sign. We may be a little slow at getting things out, but what we do put out we're extremely proud of.

There is no karma system in Patriots. The reason being is it would tip us too far into other devloper's larger systems and it doesn't fit our mission system.

You will be playing a specific character in this game. Patriots is heavy when it comes to character development so you'll be gaining a relationship with your character as well as the people you fight with.
When it comes to game style, if you're expecting Rainbow Six or Battlefield 3 then you're in for a surprise. Patriots is a mix of Shooter and RPG. It still very much has a realism to it, but it won't be that realistic shooter. It's tricky to describe. Most of the gritty realism is found in the surroundings and basic gameplay, then it holds it's own "fun" side to it as well.
And I'm surprised you're already saying you'll pay such a high price. Thank you.

Yeah, like was alvarofer0021 said. Although we're indie we're trying our hardest to create a AAA quality game. Look at Double Fine and the people making Wasteland 2. They're considered indie but are making AAA games.
Ingame content is coming soon. We've just been dealing with personnel issues over the past 2 or 3 weeks as time has become very limited for some. This has slowed down our art side very much so we're trying to recover from it. We do thank you and everybody else for your patience and we will make it up to you guys somehow.

We definitely agree fragfest. Due to some unusual circumstances though, we do need to be cautious of what we release. We'll keep everyone updated though.
On top the differences Marcosis mentioned, there is a ridiculous amount of other features, not just small things but many game changers and large mechanics, that seperate us from any shooter out there.
You will know what I am talking about a little later down the line of course. Those features aren't ready to be revealed just quite yet.
