Yeah, I think it's definitely possible. It was just that my attention was divided in so many different things that I didn't have time to polish it.

I might try Unity at some point, but right now I have been getting used to Unreal 4.
There is a console command for it (can't remember what it is exactly now), but we don't show it in the options right now. Using the combat system is sort of supposed to be the way to avoid using the language (you can just threaten people). But I think you still have to learn the language in some places if you use violence, which is something we need to fix.
I do sometimes think about it, but it's a tricky thing. I am still trying to find a job, and my current project is on Unreal since making indie games on Source is troublesome. Working on updates for FE and working on the prototype for my first indie game, I don't have a lot of spare time for other projects.
I do think about HE, though, but even if I did something with it, it would be a lot smaller scale than the original.
You can also turn off the reflective mirrors if it does that a lot.
Not sure how this could happen. It should be in the "Items" section with the name "Item Button 3 / Block". If it's somehow bugging and it's not there you can try binding it with the console "bind +attack 3 X" where X is the name of the key you want to bind it into.
Locator fix is now live here: Steamcommunity.com
I am working on a fix for the locator. Will be included in next Friday's update unless there's unforeseen problems.
Yeah, but i I had left it out from the beginning then I would have been able to focus better on making the language system a smoother experience.
It's about how Valve has Source mods set up in Steam. They require you to own HL2 if you use ANY HL2 assets. Not just any models or materials but sounds, too. It would be way too much work to replace them all.
Yeah, but that's the only thing required. I am not sure if it would be possible to set it up so that people need to own Source SDK Base 2013 only.
There is no way to make it that way. It's how Valve requires it to be.
And HL2 is not that expensive.
You can always try asking people help in the Steam forums Steamcommunity.com
I posted a question about the language system: Steamcommunity.com
Hey, I posted a question about the language system problems and would like to get as many people to answer as possible: Steamcommunity.com
Yes, we are looking for people interested in helping to localize the game.
Sadly I have no plans to return to Human Error. Right now the plan is to keep updating From Earth while I look for a job and or start thinking about an indie game company.
Can you describe in short what goes into making the Mac version?
You cannot kill the chicken, but you can steal them (and they might attack you if you steal stuff).
Yes, originally it was all the time, but it was fades away in few seconds. There's also a custom DPS sound setting when you wear it which might make it sound louder.
The properties are tied to the model. Usually in HL2 they would allow the level designer to define the properties, but I wanted to have consistency between levels. Not to mention the Hammer properties page would get bloated. Also, it's easier to make changes to model rather than having to apply the changes to all the levels and recompile them (even if you use instances).
Yeah, I don't really like writing news post, specially if I don't have anything big to reveal or "interesting" to say.
It really depends how fast they will come out with Source 2 and how big of a process it would be to port to Source 2 (if the AI has the same basis).
One waits until it's released (not sure yet when that is)
This is still something that is being worked on.

I study Mathematics at the Oulu University. I started to experiment how to code for Source on the first year and have failed every course ever since. I also taught myself how to model and animate. Level design has also been close to my heart since the times of Wolfenstein 3D and Duke Nukem 3d.
