Hey guys, Im having problems installing the mod. Ive followed the installation tutorial, but when I click CaW in the ModLauncher from ModDB it just launches the normal Empire at War game. PetroLauncher simply doesnt detect any mods at all. Unfortunately I got the Steam-version, but Im stuck on using it.
Any help, please?

Can I play on Linux/OSX/Other?
We would love to make the game available to as many platforms as possible but sadly we are limited by CRYENGINE, the engine on which the game is being built. CRYENGINE supports Windows Vista/7/8 but support for other platforms hasn't been ruled out in the future.
What about AMD's Mantle? Star Citizen seems to be getting support for it, so the same should in theory apply for the rest of the games on the same engine.
A replacement for the Rebel, or?

Screw anything not following the original canon. Artistic freedom is one thing of course, but anything coming out of Halo Reach or 4 cannot be taken seriously, considering how broken the canon becomes if you try and make sense out of them.

Lol. This was SO true in Red Alert 1's campaign. Poking a harvester was like stirring up a hornets nest, they would send practically EVERYTHING they had at you.

I am patiently waiting for the standalone. No rush on my end, it comes when it comes. I waited serveral years for C&C Renegade X, and my waiting has defenitely been worth it.

You do have a point, and Ive been thinking of it as well. The problem comes down to that things needs to be much more detailed in an FPS than an RTS. In an RTS you see the harvester move onto a tiberium field and almost "hover" the tiberium up. Imagine what this would look like in first person. Would the tiberium plants just sit there still? And to actually make vehicle treads react to driving over the quite large pods would be another bother. It probably could be done given some neat tricks, but it would take so much time that its just not worth it at this point and time. Maybe if they had a karge budget to go on, or maybe in the future if the devteam themselves (Or some fan who happens to be a genious when it comes to the UDK) could tweak this. Blossoms tree's should DEFENITELY be thing though. Blue tiberium really didnt exist in large anmounts in the first tiberium war, but there is a map or two feauturing it! As for visceroids... Then it comes down to the simple fact: Do they make any sense at all gameplay vise in a multiplayer match? Are they AIs or players?
In short, while I defenitely hate the default EA C&C3 look (Tiberium Essence go go go!), I understand why they used this more simple approach to things in Renegade X, as its a shooter.
Hey guys, Im having major problems with OpenRA on my main machine. I dont know whats started causing it, but I can no longer install the game (Nor do a manual install and run it). The manual installation, followed by me trying to run the game just load the game in the background for a moment before it closes again. Doing a normal install gives an error towards the end of the installation process. It comes to:
"Extract: explosions.yaml... 100%
Output folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Spel\OpenRA\mods\d2k
Output folder: C:\Users\Atlas\AppData\Local\Temp"
And then at the top of the installation window it just says "Installation Aborted
Setup was not completed successfully." and all I can click is cancle. This happens with around 19/20 of the installation finished every time.
The game runs fine on my laptop, but my desktop has stopped working after I reinstalled Windows 7. If needed I can post my system specs. If anyone can give some help, please PM me!
Lol, the Allies are the predecessor to the GDI, why would they fight one another? :P But yes, a TibDawn+RA1 crossover mode could maybe be fun to see. Same with a possibile future RA2+TS one.

The T-80Us description sounds a little bit confused. You should probably change that to something more along the rough lines of "Despite the lack of gunbarrels, nothing prevents the crew from doing fieldupgrades with salvaged scrap metal".
