I am Aro, a veteran modder of the older Command & Conquer games. Most notably, I'm known for leading & founding Twisted Insurrection, the popular standalone game based on the C&C: Tiberian Sun engine. I began work on Twisted Insurrection back in November 2007 gradually building up an excellent group of staff along the way. We are devoted to working on our projects and will never cease development until we can finally label them as finished products. Are you a fan of our work? Feel free to add me as a friend, ask me questions, show me some bug reports etc. We'll be happy to hear from you.

Nice base. And thank you for the kind review on the TI ModDB page. We'll be looking forward to seeing more from you. :)

You're absolutely right, yes. I prefer Bamdicam myself, future recordings will be of better quality as they were during Beta 5's trailer

You should never skip updates, most of the time they fix bugs, some of which can prove to be game-breaking. You only have things to gain by updating. :)

We're not sure, LKO who makes the Nod structures is pretty secretive about his work-flow. I know he has a good number in progress already, including the Laser Turret, Tiberium Refinery and Banshee Facility. HG_SCIPCION has opted to do the Nod Walls and Gates too.

GDI War Factory will hopefully come soon too.

This is Windows 10's built-in gamre recording software, it comes as a part of the XBox app.

In the settings menu, what renderer are you using? If one seems to be causing you problems, try some of the alternatives.

It is intentional that the AI builds more than 1 Mammoth on N16, it is a Mammoth Production facility after all. :P

As for the lag issue, yes, this seems to be an ongoing struggle. When we make one fix, another problem pops up. We'll nail this eventually.

This is a bug that has carried over from Tiberian Sun. I assume you loaded infantry into the APC while on a bridge? This causes the game to think that the infantry are still on bridges when they are deployed from the APC which causes the strange error you mentioned occuring. So it's nothing that is the fault of the TI, but the retarded base game.

Hopefully we'll come by a fix for it one day.

Yeah, we would like to make more maps like this for players and decorative base builders too. Q45 and I already began working on a few, Fortification is the first one that is finished and in-game.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. It's strange behaviour from the software since it is on the highest possible quality settings for both audio and visuals. Perhaps it's a better idea to go back to Bandicam.

In order for the latest changes to take effect, you will need to start the mission again I'm afraid, yes. One thing we did was remove one of the GDI bases in order to cut down the lag. 4/5 staff members tested with no lag at all, some issues may still be there but we'll keep looking!

For clarification: This page used to host the Tiberian Sun: Unnoficial Mini-Patch (UMP). As Rampastring's Tiberian Sun Client incorporates the UMP into it's new file structure with even more fixes to the original game, the UMP as a separate download is now considered obsolete. Due-to this fact, we decided to change and completely rename the UMP page to suit the Tiberian Sun Client's needs instead, as now all future UMP additions will be included as a part of the client! Enjoy some classic Tiberian Sun with this fantastic client! :)

Various fixes are being put into place over the course of time too, such as widening narrow passage-ways to try and prevent possible pathfinding issues like Rampastring mentioned. The map may suffer a large decrease in graphical quality, but of course the global rule is Gameplay over Graphics.

Hi. Thanks for reporting the problem, we're still making some updates and improvements to Nod Mission 16 to increase it's performance and speed. Another update will be due soon to attempt to fix some more of the lag issues. In the mean time, once the game starts dropping speed, try saving the mission and then loading it again, this refreshes the game and should increase the performance.

The main lag spike problem is caused by the rendering indeed. If the large GDI fortress produces too many units, which it normally does, it can cause huge slow downs. Removing a ton of objects helped to improve this quite a lot.

I'm considering it, but there will be a lot of work involved, which will likely take longer than actually finishing TI on the TS engine.

Aro Aug 3 2015 replied:

TS Engine Technical blabla ahead:

TS Engine decides what maps launch after others via a file named MapSel.ini. This file only acknowledges missions launching in order if the very first mission has been completed first and won't acknowledge jumps, for example: Completing mission 5 will not launch mission 6 successfully afterwards unless you have completed, 1, 2, 3 and 4 first.

There are possible workarounds for this, but it involves a lot of complexity and map cloning which will vastly increase filesize so we're avoiding that. In any case, we're happy to have maps return you to the main menu after completion instead for the time being. This is much, much less annoying than previous versions launching the GDI Campaign from the start after each individual mission selection instead.

In the future, we'll try and figure out a better method to achieve what we want, but for this current version, we're happy with this method.

Capturing Nod Refineries or Power Plants supply you with the funds you need since they are already full of Tiberium. There are lots of lets play videos of GDI Mission 14 on YouTube. Here's a link to one which you might find helpful. By the way, the outpost to the right can be taken just as easily, that's in fact my personal preference for beating this mission. If people have managed to beat this mission without even having to capture an outpost, then I'm sure you can manage. ;)

All missions after the 10 mission mark are supposed to be difficult. There's no challenge in easy missions.
