Mommy.... hold me.
I know some people won't like giving a shape to such (literally) "unknown" LoTR creatures, but I think it is great, and I hope it allows us to experience the word of Middlearth like never before. Especially because if they've gone ahead and made this... then it might mean we can actually travel that deep, which I think would be a totally epic thing to do with a higher level character.
Hmm, was it really that small? I thought it was bigger but the more I look at it, it looks about right... hmm, I guess it was that small.
Fantastic idea, I hope you can implement this.
This has to be one of the few ambitious mods that looks like it really can achieve its goal.
I foresee much awesomeness in the future.
Correct, that is inkscape.
hot dang, great work!
and THIS is why I love opensource above all else.
very cool.
I get the feeling that this is the race i'll be playing most of the game. I like Celts.
Linux support is a Win in my opinion.
We NEED developers to support us.
Woah, I thought this thing died? maybe I confused this with something else.
When I first saw this article I thought to myself "its alive! yippee!"
Then I started to read and I was like "Wait standalone... does this mean..."
and I read on to found out that it was true.
The thing I dream of was true.
...it would be able to run on Linux.
Thank you, you have made my day. Linux needs awesome projects like this to start up its gaming.
And I imagine that once the word gets out of this project, you'll see a ton of support from the Linux community. There may not be many of us, but we are pretty vocal and willing to heavily support any project that works with Linux.
I have one question I forgot to ask, maybe you can answer it in the next Q&A:
will there be companions that you can gain to accompany you on your quests?
To be honest, i'm disappointed and let down.
As a Linux Gamer I had high hopes for this game.
And in switching to UDK, those hopes were demolished.
I hope it was worth it.
Yeah, I totally agree man.
I thought highly of this, and I hoped it would indeed be a big moment in Linux-gaming.
I'll be untracking it now.
agreed, as a Linux user I am kinda bummed, this means we won't get this game.
Its like a butterknife smeared with jam.
woah, very nice, I like the look of that image.
What went through my head in chronological succession.
1st thought: woah, awesome armor.
2nd thought: woah, robots in the air, this is a cool battle scene.
3rd thought: Hey, that chick is cute.
eh, just don't overdo it. I hate when games overdo swearing. Like army of two. Every other word was the f-bomb. It got really really annoying.
and this is bad? I thought variety was always good.
eh, I almost prefer English, just because everything I run into has American accent. Dont' get me wrong, i'm American and I like the familiar voice, but it would be cool to play a game that has a different accent.
"2. If we get a megaüber level will we always be inferior to people like sauron, Gandalf etc (I assume they will be in the game)."
^what he said.
Will gameplay continue on after the ring bearers quest is over? I know I heard we'll be playing at the same time, but can we play PAST the war of the ring? and will the world change much?
I do believe they have already said no to this before.
Well, you've gotten plenty of praise, so no need for me to type the same thing everyone else has said already.
so lets just say I agree with them all.
which is why its so freakin' awesome.
please please tell me this is the main character.
