Are you sure it's 4 cores? With four cores it would be more capable of the mod. The i3 (if I remember right) is a dual core series, but Intel CPUs are generally better than AMD. What graphics card does the laptop have? The performance issue may not be spec-wise, try some simple maintenance, with laptops the fans are a major hit on performance. Had a laptop before with a 60+ second boot time, cleaned the fans, went down to about 20 seconds, it also ran a lot faster.
Good luck! :)
The minimum requirements are rather exaggerated. I only have an AMD 5000+ 2.6 DUAL Core, AMD Radeon HD 6670 Sapphire and I'm running on the highest game settings (AA disabled) and the mod runs fine. I am upgrading to Intel soon though, gonna be great! :D
Edit: Didn't see your reply below, what are your systems specifications??
Well, at least the Moddb download works now. Downloading it now, not sure if I'll get around to playing it tonight though, but I'm sure looking forward to it.
Edit: Well, any using Avast getting auto sandbox bs because "File prevalence/reputation is low"? It didn't do that the first time I opened the game. -.-
Yes, well I worded the question wrong.
What I wanted to know is if Desura is like Steam, as in you have to download it to your system and all that, or if you just buy the game and then download it without any side apps.
I don't like Steam, for the reasons of losing stuff you paid for, which is why I'm asking.
Quick question, how do you get the camera to track the fighters that come with the FARP? Double R-Click doesn't work the way it does for the other units.
I replaced my CPU which was rather old, it actually had physically visible damage as well. It was an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4 Ghz, single core. The new one was an AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ 2.6 Ghz, dual core. Guess single cores are too weak to run the mod. (Too weak in general^^)
In short I guess people who have CTDs simply have to upgrade their rigs.
I can run the normal game at max settings at a constant 40-60 Fps. My sound card (Realtek "HD" ALC260) is the only con for my pc, could that be causing the FARP death crash that I keep getting? (It just shuts down, CTD) Please help.
I had no luck with XP, although my switch to Windows 7 still leaves a glitch where the mod crashes when a FARP is pulled in with other units. (A wtf kind of a glitch.) Upgrading to Win7 isn't a big task and I'd recommend it with compatibility rates for XP dropping anyways.
Good luck. :)
Um...what? The Mjolnir is Thor's (nordic god) hammer.
Very true, but hey, off the top of my head I couldn't think of anything else ^^
Mjolnir sounds more like a name for a ground unit.
Cyclone, Hurricane, Hawk, War Hawk, Black Hawk, Shadow Hawk, Strike Hawk, Aeolus.
My marvelous hawk obsession.

"The file you are looking for seems to be unavailable at the moment. Please come back later." - Gamefront
I really hate you right now Gamefront...

Hehe, just bought it and already lovin' it. Great work, can't wait for next update.
So the next release will work even if you don't have Special Forces?
What do you mean can't use Google to get it?
Oh. Cool, thanks. The mod is great so far.
Great work.
So the previous version's maps are no longer in this one? Unfortunate, they were fun.
So uh, do we delete the previous version or just overwrite it?
This will even work without the mod. There are basic console commands which are featured in the game, so yes, it will work.
And they said "Always remember that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder." I disagree! Nice work.

Buying it on Desura means I would need to download Desura, right? If that's so is there any other place I could buy it?
There is no Windows XP 2000...So you're on Windows 2000 SP4, which means time to upgrade.
Why can it no longer run the mod? Running Win XP?

Nevermind, after some system TS I got it working, great mod guys.
The ai sucks btw... ;D

It seems to happen every time I call in a FARP and another unit at the same time...
Well, I went to the multiplayer section and it installed version 1.11 (B35) (I think).
It upsets me that someone who pirated the game is able to play this mod as to some people who actually BOUGHT the game can't. >=/
I have Soviet Assault installed, (I bought the complete edition)...does that make difference concerning the mod?
Does the CD have to be in the drive to play? Because it still crashes shortly after unit arrival. Windows 7 32bit.
Please help!
