They already have the Easterlings, who act as an efficient anti cavalry unit and infantry overall.
Awesome model and quality! The old orc pit kinda looked like a toilet, it was far from the lore sake!
News buildings, news heroes, more than I thought... Damn SaF looks better than ever, slowly this mod is building up to be a masterpiece!
I think you nailed it :) I agree, these should be the next updates.
Welcome back, don't rush your mod. I'm already surprised by the high quality stuff you released now, it's really a great surprise given the hiatus, I thought you couldn't advanced.
Awesome model, this hero is often underrated in most BFME 1 mods, so I'm really glad to see him getting attention :)
But Arnor and Angmar have been kept to please some fans. High Elves have already enough units, too many units means the risk of being lost between redundant roles.
I understood your statatement about Bolg, but even if Edain team change his name it will have a similar role like the Defiler.
I'm pretty sure Dwarves will get reskinned, BUT for a further release.
A shadow is spreading in the East... it will soon darken the Lands of the Free People. Its twisted fingers are already at our very gates! A council must be held in Rivendell, for unite we must! Great idea!
-Lindon has laready enough units, their role was minor during the End of t he Third Age tiemline.
-Iron Hills has enough units, no need to make them more complete. Balance must be kept!
-Misty Mountains have already trolls, plus most of their trolls should be half wild, half tammed. No need for more of them. There are enough heroes too. Azog exists in the mod as the Defilder, his name has been changed, but has the same model as in the movies. It's redundant to get a new hero that will fill the same purpose.
-Rohan, as it is now, is just awesome. This isn't an infantry based faction, they already have plenty of units to fill various roles. Plus you have access to heavier units thanks to the Gathering Bell.
Awesome model and skin!
They're great! I like the way you make them. Barbaric, bulky yet pretty tall, with two handed weapons. They're different than the Mordor orcs, there's a true identity for each of the Orc kind in your mod. Nice! :)
It's still silly and makes no sense.
Why do you want to have the same Edain mod's concepts while SaF is very original, not trying to take every idea from the movies? Plus, if you looked at previous screens, you could have seen the Gundabad orcs have already gotten their movie look.
It's annoying to realize everyone wants to see the Hobbits' designs in every damn mod. Not to diss Edain mod, but please! Try to respect Saf staff's work in that way by not asking them to add the stuff as Edain mod :)
I think it asks for even more creativity to not taking inspiration, from something that has been already used by other makers. That's why I like SaF, because it's very original, you take the risk to put factions that weren't especially visited in other mods. The concept, designs are among the best I could ever imagined.
Um, no. Even though in the movies they've shown them riding boars, Dwarves don't use goats or any other beast. They might use ponies, like Bilbo and Company, but cavalry among Dwarves is not referenced, nor is a common sight. They should rather have an ability to call Northemn Riders.
His mod is in relation to the lore too, even though it's form the movies :p since every mod takes inspiration more or less from the movies, or the books, there's almost always some lore faith behinf.
We both said the same thing, High Elf brother!
I got a question: how many maps will be featured in Edain 4.0? At least, for the first beta?
I was thinking, since you made a tribute to BFME 1 by releasing Rohan, Gondor, Mordor and Isengard, maybe the maps that come with the beta will concern the southern Middle Earth, with maps from the dedicated factions.
The Istari came around 1000 TA, but Angmar had been founded later, in 1300 TA.
However, the Istari came to counter Sauron, to prevent him to spread his influence through Middle-earth. He was already secretly hiding in Dol Guldur.
Ered Luin as a faction will make no sense since they're more or less under Erebor king's rule and protection.
He didn't say it has to be released for or after Christmas. He just said it's annoying, this endless spam of ideas. Once, or twice, OK, but everytime, no. Especially when the team stated some stuff will be added further or not.
Do the siege based maps such as Helm's Deep will support more IA in order them to use rams, catapults...?
He didn't disrespect their opinions: he said he agreed for later releases. He may have soundeda bit harsh, but he's right : many people are getting tired to see these spammed ideas, always the same.
Nope, these are Veterans of Khazad Dûm, form the movie, not the Iron Hills warriors from the books :)
I don't know if it has been said before, or if you already had this model ingame, but will the Iron Hills warrios make an appearance in the mod? I'm talking about the ones present in the books, using a heavy two handed mattock and short sword and round shield. What do you think about them?
It's *just* an idea, not a request.
Greenpeace Elves! Niiiiice :)
The white walls of Gondor, reminiscent of their Numenorean's ancestors and ancient pride. No orc or fell man will dare to dirty the clean walls with their filthy feet!
The Last Homely House... In Edain! :)
Everything looks fine, there's no clash between textures. They already said they give more vibrant colours to the Dwarves' faction's buildings and ground.
Mordor is an offensive faction, therefore walls are not needed. Since they can product orcs fast, and need for big armies, walls would make the whole fortress unplayable because of not enough space available. Huge armies need to get out of the castle quick, thus no gate makes sense.
What about second breakfast? Elevensies? Luncheon? afternoon tea? dinner? Supper?
